The generator bill is coming late and will be more catastrophic than effective now. It shud have come in 1999 or 2003 when Nigeria cud do Smtn significant about power generation and it was being sabotaged.

I don't have generator at home I've not seen one for 3years I don't need it but I send solar panels home.

This Senators can afford to equip their house with solar panels and inverter, Generator are for the middle and lower class now in Nigeria. Why can't he suggest a bill to jail power generating, distribution companies? Why not ban importation of pumping machines too!

I support the bill, I just feel they should project the advantages and then so research how renewable energy companies can invest in the power sector. Or even a public private partnership on renewable energy.

I think say I go die last night for the heat, my gen coil burn but I had a healthy dose of generator fumes from my neighbour's gen before NEPA pitied us and gave us light.

The reason there's a light bulb today is cause there was a void. If we do not see the need to sort out our power issue, we will use generator for years.

Instead of concentrathng on how toward off bandits ravaging their state.

I am am SGD enthusiast. As long as it will make them sort out our energy issue and make the environment cleaner, I am all for it.

We have a few years before countries stop combustion engine production. European countries will stop producing generators. But the countries producing them don't use it. They are going to use the financial opportunity of these to weak our chances of developing our energy so that we keep depending on them.
We can spend money on other sources of energy like solar, there are intelligent Nigerians out there developing better cheap sources of energy we are not supporting. States are supposed to spend money on research and installation of solar in schools and hospitals. We should look at noise pollution and air pollution these generators cause and the health impacts in our lives.

FFK has money to fly to UK for care do we all have that NO. My argument might not make sense now but look at the future opportunity.

Generators in Nigeria are from CHINA!
