Skye bank was never at any point Afribank or Mainstreet bank. Skye only acquired Mainstreet which metamorphosed from Afribank. Two years later AMCON took over Skye and named it Polaris.

Zenith is actually stronger than GTB. Share capital size, total deposits,and overall profitability for over 3 years have consistently put Zenith on top of GTB.and other banks as the number 1 financial institution on Nigeria. Financials of 2019 widened the gap.

You did not get his comments. He's simply trying to debunk the inferred idea that FBN is getting into a merger because it needs saving whereas it is actually the one doing the saving by coming to the rescue of the two apparently distressed banks.

They should be specific if it is merger or acquisition. I think it is Merger with FBN having the higher stake and being the unbrella
