Oga no be like that na,the person that arranged to give me bed space has been telling me Dubai all along, only for me to land in Dubai and he gave me directions to come.i didn't realize it wasn't Dubai for until i had to travel like 150miles that is like the distance between Kaduna-abuja and i had to pay him the accommodation fee and start staying there, that was how i found myself in RAK brother.

That is to say Trust Nobody in UAE.. He knew if he tells u he stays @ RAK you might change ur Mind and he might loose d Acomodation fee or Intreste if he is helping u secure d apartment

Check with zenith bank or gt bank or use a genuine agent..

Hello Nairalanders who are based in UAE and already established or comfortable.pls let's not try to prove a point by not helping others especially some of us who just came in.it is true that due to the Coronavirus outbreak some companies are on temporary break but that does not mean there are no company or companies recruiting at all.like i said, when i landed yesterday i didn't know anywhere called Ras Al Khaimah (RAK)in UAE before until i was directed by the person my visa agent linked me with to board a bus and meet him.on meeting him,i paid for the bed space and he also collected 100,000NGN from me for the job search fee.he actually directed me to one construction company in RAK this morning as a tiler helper but unfortunately b4 i got there, the work has been given to another person so i told myself i should move around and seek for job myself,i entered about 7different companies in RAK within 30minutes but all of which no vacancy but one in particular the boss asked me am i from Ghana or Nigeria and i said Nigeria and he said there were no vacancies.sincerely speaking, of all the companies i entered myself there were not a single black employee But that is not to say there is no job at all.like i said,i can do any helper job available in any location in UAE so please i am still appealing to those who are opportuned to help out,if me who just entered on a 90days Visa just yesterday almost got a job in RAK it means there are places out there in UAE that jobs are still available so please help ur Nigerian brother in need.
Thanks.

As soon as i met him he collected 150,000NGN frm me(1'500AED) for bed space and for job.
I just don't want to rely on him alone that's why i want to also be doing job hunting myself.

You have started on a good note by searching for jobs by yourself. A Congolese guy came to Dubai and we were together in the same room only for him to do what you are doing (searching for job by yourself) and within two weeks he got a job as a tiler in a construction company with accommodation and feeding. He vowed he would not give a dime to any agent and he got what he wanted to the amazement of everybody.

For the N100k that you gave to your supposed 'landlord', go and collect your money or give him a condition to get you job within a week, else, the money is gone.

Don't be discouraged if you are a GOOD TILER, you will definitely get a job. Go to as many companies as possible, God will bless your effort.

Chief,See, that money with your host, collect it asap, he will only spend it and thats if he hasn't spent it already. collect it or any amount remaining with him. If he's not ready to give it back to you, 'change am for am'.
As per asking people to help you regarding job and all that, only God can help you brother. You've started well, keep visiting the companies while you also submit online, you might just be lucky.
During my days on the street of Dubai (January 2018 to June 2018), I used to say to myself that even if I ended up going back home unemployed, my conscience would be my witness that I did my best.
Getting jobs these days is now more difficult even before this covid-19 outbreak.
Pls collect your 100k asap and make plans to relocate to Dubai/Sharjah/Abu Dhabi.

If you are not in UAE and planning to come, do not come for now. All visas have been cancelled today due to the coronavirus situations. Don't waste flight tickets.

Yes please if you arrived in Dubai hours ago or still planning to arrive today or during the week through the already issued visas kindly give a detailed update here.
I'm sure someone here will need that info it's better to just change travel dates than travel down to UAE and get stranded after going through stress and resources.

You will soon understand many more reasons why a lot of them convince their friends to come "UAE" for jobs...

However, I pray that God will give you unbelievable good testimonies. PEACR

So guys kindly check the status of your Visa before flying down to the UAE if travelling down is really necessary. Check with your agent and even the airline.
Let's stay safe out there.
