That's the essence of movies. Of all tribes in Nigeria, none is as culturally immersed as the Yorubas when it comes to movies. They comfortably still do movies produced in their mother tongue while you're most likely to see an all Igbo cast speaking English like deportees.

Plus, one of the reasons Genevieve's movie, Lion Heart was dropped from the Oscar award for further consideration was nothing other than the use of English.

The pioneers of Nollywood are none other than you think. Asaba made movies have always been considered inferior, which is one of the reasons most of the so called Asaba actors moved down to Lagos.

On the use of language, I'd tip the Yoruba movie industry as the best when it comes to promoting culture. Generally, Nigerian movies are tacky.

This guy is a pure Tribalist. I have watched his film only twice and both were sub standard.

IPOB and hatred for other tribes na 5&6. Why not create your award and give it to your tribe alone? Nairaland was created by a Yoruba person but na dem dominate here with different profile just to insult others. How many awards was given to the late Ogunde, Baba Sala, Duro Ladipo? These were the pioneers of stage movies in Nigeria even before Pete Edochie and Sam Loco who got recognition through Things Fall Apart started acting. How many awards was given to Oga Bello, Papi Luwe, Jide Kosoko, Iya Awero who started acting before Kanayo O Kanayo and your Aki and Pawpaw? Just organize your own IPOB award and give it to your people. The likes of Kelvin Ikeduba, Regina Chukwu, Rose Odiga and Nkechi Blessing were nobody until they join the Yoruba movies which made them. Appreciate others so that you can be appreciate.

Yeah, that must be why Abia State sacked I'm State workers; why Anambra people reminded Bianca Ojukwu that she's from Nkwo in Enugu hence couldn't represent them in the Senate; and that must also be why Mbaise people rejected a Catholic Bishop because he comes from Anambra.
