Sure, I have. I'm more concerned about the sponsorship. I intend to use my uncle, do I have to include mine too? I do not have enough in it.

Do you need sponsorship after your funding? NO.

Just submit your account statement if you're working. If your intention is to state that your uncle will pay your flight or accommodation fees, then let him transfer the money to your account and you'll indicate such in your SOP.

Congrats on your admission.

That’s cuz you all are tripping.

If you check my screenshots in my profile, you’ll see I was asking to get people’s responses to show a client who kept insisting on applying to Lithuania with only NECO at age 36.

Still doesn’t change the fact that most Nigerians are lazy but want to study abroad.

Thank you thus far. Is it compulsory I submit my statement of account alongside his? Or I can just submit his alone?

You have full funding so it’s not necessary.

Me personally knows the points that you hammered on.

Most Nigerians actually want to go abroad to hustle while the education process that got them there will suffer, not just In Canada, everywhere in the world.

Assignments, articles, slides, Exams... and you still work 2 Jobs? I swear you not fit graduate for that school.

Instead of Concentrating on the School first , get the grades first , but most of them pay and solve their own problems themselves ... either way, it is tiring!

I do not have any problem with people working etc.

The only thing I mentioned was about people wanting the easy way out when it comes to writing just an SOP.

You will be seeing things like “please send your format”.

If they cannot write SOP now , is it uni assignments that they will write?

That’s why they will come out with poor grades and start lamenting about how there’re no jobs.

Who’s gon hire you with your 2:2 or 3rd degree without any sufficient skills or related experience.

Dunno why those maniacs came for me

He didn’t say transcripts, it’s degree confirmation and They are different.

Blema111:

It’s not you sending your degree certificate. It must not come from you and that’s why it’s official. I don’t know about UNN but for Unilag, you have to make a colored copy of your degree cert and take it to the senate building, they would stamp and sign, then you pay an amount of money for courier and they dispatch it immediately. So you have to go to your school and do that.
Thanks Man

@Blema111 has answered your question. just scan your certificate and print out a coloured replica and take to your university. they would stamp and send directly to the DLI in Canada. you'd have to pay for the service though.

Please let this thing go abeg, I don't know how you went from discussing age limit to people who have 2:2 or 3rd class. Get hold of yourself you are taking this too personal. I don't see any problem with that guy trying to stay positive in regards to his age and all. You don't have be condescending in anyway. I am a contract staff with NLNG and most of the staff I work with here graduated with 2:2. where has my 2:1 taken me? Let's not even go there abeg.

Stick to the topic please! Lets be guided!

Attention:
While I was at the Vfs office here in Lagos to pick up my passport, they mentioned that starting from today, they have been instructed to stop collecting passports for processing... so if you have gotten passport request on your application, you will not be able to submit till further notice (even the guy incharge said he cannot say how long and that people can send emails to the embassy to know when they would lift the rule).. its a pity the Corona thing has come at this time but lets take out time to plan well and build a better profile while we await further decisions... May God help us all...

How much should be sufficient to apply for visa.

I got admission into University of Winnipeg(Tuition is around 16k but I received 12k funding).

Check the remaining of the tuition fee plus L.E and flight cost implication with some reasonable amount left in the account. That should suffice.

If it's degree confirmation, he should use the "iverification" still on the UNN website. I just did WES credential assessment for my wife so I have first hand info about this.

Thanks a lot would do just that
Luckymama:

Note a very important point. Not all programs will entitle you to stay back and get a job in Canada when you are done (PGWP - post graduate work permit). So whatever school you are applying to make sure to cross check that it is DLI (a school qualified to accept international students) and most importantly that the program you are applying for there will qualify you for a Work permit afterwards.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by donnuel360: 8:00pm On Mar 18, 2020
Thanks a lot
Blema111:

Google schools for masters program or post grad certificate depending on your CGPA that is suitable for your choice of program. All the documents to be submitted would be listed there. See the deadline and apply if you are within time. It’s until you get admission that you should talk about visa application.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by donnuel360: 8:01pm On Mar 18, 2020
Would do just that thanks
SetZ:

I believe you in the right place if you willing to do it your self I recommend you read through and the the most important first step get admitted into any DLI institution either degree, masters or even certificate program depending on your pocket

Good Morning. Thanks for helping out the last time. I just got another admission for LLM at the University of Western Ontario with $20.000 funding out of $30,000 tuition for the 1 year.

Compared to my first LLM admission at University of Victoria, BC with $2,000 out of $7,500 (with a hint from a friend in Uvic that I’d be given $5,000 upon resumption), and assuming Usask and Calgary aren’t coming (although I’m positive), which is better between Uvic and UWestern for TRV and living expenses purposes.

Thank you.

I had 3rd class bachelor degree from Nigeria and currently studying master in Turkey but due to some reasons, i wish to proceed to canada to do post graduate diploma or post graduate certificate, is this a good move? I have attempted to secure admission to continue my masters but was refused by universities. What is my chances of securing a study permit for college postgraduate diploma or certificate.

It's a good move to proceed for a post graduate diploma program considering you graduated with a lower grade (third class). Your chances of securing a Canadian visa boils down to the rationality content of your letter of explanation which would detail why you choose to further your education in the said program in Canada, why you can no longer finish up with your masters program in Turkey, the lucrativness of this post graduate diploma program to your career and your home country, if there is a link between previous and current program, explain its connectedness etc.

It will end in praises.

If you seek my opinion, I would suggest you go for the school with the highest proportion of funding which is University of Western Ontario with $20.000.
