I will advice you relax. My landlady submitted couple of days before you and they are yet to get response. The corononse happening presently has nothing to do with submitted applications.Hopefully you get a mail from TLS before or after working hours today or before weekend.Am very sure they will get back to you before ending of this month if not next week...
Sh0lar:
I applied for a UK tourist visa recently. My time line are:
Application submitted.... Feb 12
Biometric Appointment.... Feb 24
Application transferred to UKVI.... Feb 24
Mail acknowledging receipt by UKVI--Mar 2

Today is 18days after Biometric. No mail for conclusion or that decision have been reached by UKVI or TLS.
Or
The process has been suspended due to Coronovirus pandemic.
I just need to know what exactly is going on? No communication whatsoever and my passport is in their custody.
How do I clarify what is the status of the application.
Please advice my fellow forum mate, what should I do?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by emadamysy: 11:37am On Mar 18, 2020
I have applied and paid over 2 weeks ago. My Bio-metrics is next Monday and my Holiday is in May. Do i still need to cancel? What are the appropriate steps for the latter?
justwise:

This is the wrong time to apply for tourist visa.

Don’t waste your money and time

Hello Good people. Thanks for your effort in keeping this thread Alive. I got refused today. I did my biometrics with my 2 years old daughter on the 29th of February for tourist visa. I will really appreciate if you can read through this refusal letter and suggest a better way to apply next time. Thanks in advance.

The bitter truth is that self employed applicants have it hotter than those with regular monthly salaries corresponding with their payslips. Consider the following points:
1. If you are self employed, how did you come about the fixed annual salary?
2. Is your stated salary your gross or net(disposable)?
3. If your stated salary is your gross before tax and deductions, it could be questionable how you have that much closing balance when there are expenses to do. ECO considers possible expenditures from your disposable income to judge your financial circumstances (livelihood).
4. It is always somewhat difficult to provide evidence of deposits for a freelancer. A lot of people assume if there are unexplained deposits, being self employed where there is always influx of money here and there will suffice. That is a big lie. That is just a convenient excuse.
5. Best thing would have been to have a business account, then pay yourself a fixed salary from the business account into your personal account. Provide account statement of your personal account and show evidence of salary payments.

The IO explained the reasons behind her decision and I've learned a lot from the UK style of account statement.

When I applied for Visas to Japan, Australia, NZL, Turkey, France etc as a business owner, I simply used my office as sponsor and also provided by savings account on all occasions, and was granted.

The UK system seems different.

1. Your annual earnings claimed in your letter is about ₦11million

2. The balance in your account at the time of application is ₦8million.

Officer was confused as to how you earn ₦11m and yet your only account is showing you don't even have what you claim to be earning as balance.

3. The officer needs to be convinced that the entire ₦8million balance at the time of application is available for only you and that you'll not pay staff salaries, expend on other things. She's not convinced.

Points 1-3 are what decision was based on.

Start paying yourself salary with through transfer or withdrawals, deposit it into a savings account and start taking all personal expenses from that savings account and not touch the company account again.

If your monthly expenses for school fees, utilities like cable TV, electricity, food/shopping, fueling is around ₦200k, just always transfer this amount from company's account to personal account monthly and do expenses from there

Greetings to the guru in the house, please I need your input. I was denied visa some weeks ago (which I posted the reason here) and got advice from some of the egg heads about my mistake and adviced that I keep my salary account pure of only my salary, which I told people I do things for giving them another account, but one of them forgot and paid 300k for a gig I am currently doing into my salary account. Do I pay back the money into his account with the narration refund so he can transfer it to another account or what do you advice as I dont want what happened (no proper evidence of deposit) to repeat itself as I am building for the next 6 months.

You can do that it's fine, but I'll suggest you start your statement from after the date he paid the funds in. It will set you back one month, but it's safer.

Sorry for long post. I was banned for 10years, never tot of getting UK visa, though I visited other countries within those years. Few yrs after ban expired I gave a trial to apply, I had completed the application thinking I was perfect, fortunately I bumped into this thread and realising my errors which I adjusted after payment hitch. I took few days reading all the pages and learnt alot. I did self service.
I was denied based on several reasons, I was furious and felt not destined to enter UK. One of the wkends i picked all d reasons for denial and countered all. Guess what, I was denied again based on 4 other reasons. I felt even if dey no wan gv visa, I must prove myself right. I highlighted their points, illustrated on all my evidences with pen and sent since I am legit. They did their verification contacting bank etc and visa overturned.
Passport submitted and took 17days to call for pick up which shouldn't have taken max 5days.God's time is d best. Joining this forum is a great privilege, it has given hopes, saved money and lifetime opportunities. I appreciate everyone that contributed to my enquiries positively, @seeyat,one of the selfless, humble and patient soul I ever met, @techspot thx a bunch, @suuz,I appreciate you sis, @giselle such a nice soul.

I had someone come in on Sunday. It was a transit flight anyway. They left Nig Sat and arrived UK on Sunday. You may have to contact BA and query directly. There is a lot of uncertainty this week.

She called BA and there is assurance that they are flying but her worry is entry because her friend said everything is shutdown this week that she is not sure they might grant entry.

Thank you all for your response. I really appreciate your time. The problem with my account is that, I transfer almost all the money that enters my account for business. But from your advices now, I have decided to get a personal separate account for salary. That is, I will be transferring money from my business account to my personal account.
Considering the fact that I will be applying with my daughter...
My Questions are;
1. What is the reasonable amount I can be depositing? From 200k to 400k
2. How much should be the reasonable account balance at the end of six months for me and my daughter.

You'll calculate total expenses for you and family (wife and daughter) then add ₦50,000 extra.

If you need ₦300k, add ₦50,000 extra.

Reapply around September and Target Christmas period winter for vacation.

December is almost here

What did you mean by DEPOSITING? You will still have trouble explaining what they are meant for even though it emanates from your business account if they are irregular. Just be paying yourself monthly salary. It is neater that way.
