I'm just curious, I see a lot of Teeside offers here, I see from other schools too but offers from Coventry University seems to be just a handful, if any. Please is there a reason why people are avoiding Coventry. I want to know because that's my first choice.

Just like my intending school, Swansea University but I don't view it as people are avoiding it because a lot of things are being factored in when choosing a school. For me Swansea University is the only school in the UK that offers the course and duration of my choice.

I got an offer for Northumbria university London campus 2yrs course for 13500k after discount and deposit is 2k

You’re right.
Most people ignore the after step.

Most schools if not all, require you to pay 50% of your tuition before enrolment.

Eg ; your tuition is £10k
- you pay 2k for deposit to go for visa etc.
- after you get your visa, you can fly to the U.K.
however, you need to balance £3k either before you leave Nigeria or on your arrival in the U.K., before you can start classes.

The balance can now be paid via instalments.
Someone asked me the other day if one can arrive in the UK, then defer their program for the next intake in order to work & pay tuition.

I told him that he should get ready to see “welcome to Nnamdi Azikwe or Murtala Mohammed Airport”.

No, you cannot defer your course on your arrival in the U.K. It’s even written in the terms and conditions.

You’re usually give a grace of 28 days to enrol for your programme. Failure to do that, the university will withdraw their offer and report you to the home office immediately. Once your file has been reviewed by the home office, your visa will be curtailed and you will be required to leave the country. If you decide to abscond, then goodluck.

Please, I got a conditional offer from Teesside University for Artificial Intelligence, starting on September. The only condition is that I must provide a copy of my original degree certificate.

Sadly, just last week, I went to my school's (FUTO) Exams and Records department to check... I saw certificates belonging to my course mates who graduated same time as myself (2017) but I didn't see mine. They said it was not there, it was omitted and hasn't been printed. I didn't have a single carryover not to talk of extra year o.

I was advised to write a letter to the Registrar, attach a copy of my statement of result and explain my plight. I did that and the Registrar's secretary has asked me to recheck on Wednesday.

Do I still have hope? Has anyone here experienced this kinda thing before? Can they print out my original certificate ASAP for me? Have I lost the admission??
