No, you cannot. It's just a biomedical data linked to your financial activities. A BVN can tell me how many accounts you have and may even get me access to them but there is no way you can use it to collect money from debtors.

When you take a loan from a app, they will ask you for BVN and that is what they will use to access your bank account in seconds to know if you entered your real info in their app or if you can pay back.

Like your Facebook password your BVN is a key to your accounts, all of them. So never never give it out.

If you want to collect money from someone give the person 3 info only...

1. Name of your bank
2. Your back account name,
3. The number of the account.

Anyone asking you for BVN is a thief.
