NSE should just suspend trading till when this covid is over.Do they take delight in seeing investors fund go to drain?
You still have opportunity to bail out today, at any sight of bid, and reenter at lower lower price.

Chibuking81:

The suspension will cause more danger once it reopen. You might see straight 10% red for consecutive 5 trading days once shut down and reopen. American didn't shut down their trading, and Nigeria will likely not.

They should not shut down. worst case scenario, all stock will trade at 0.20k.

I don't think he is causing panic. Probably he is looking at the worst case scenarios.

Like in the country where I live, schools and businesses have been closed, embassies closed, banks work like half day. There is a limit to gatherings.

Some businesses are regarded as essential and must open. Pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, fuel stations. Only non-essential businesses could be told to close.

Once this start to happen all over Nigeria, expect a hit on Q2 2020 data in all companies.

Advice : separate investment money from upkeep money. Everyone should have emergency fund they can tap into for upkeep.

The last 2 weeks low in banks is yet to be seen again. People should stick to buying low. Don't chase price. I love panic sellers. grin grin

Chief meaning repeat/reset?

Anything could happen. It is no longer about 10% Green/ Red. It is about public health. grin

I know it's all about health, that's why I like to update people on the current happening. Many will not have been victim of 2008 economic meltdown if there was proper publicity during that period, many would have bail out, without losing almost everything. Once one completely depending on positive news, he/she will end up finding oneself in the hospital bed.

Take it easy bro.
While I believe the effect of corona virus will be very severe in Nigeria both in health and economic output,I think you should tone down how you predict what will happen with stocks.
There is no need for people holding fundamentally sound stocks to panic sell..

My point is Zenith at 10.85 (last low) has not been seen again. Until that happens, then I will know that there is a possibility of a lower low.

It closed 11.85 on Friday. I will wait to see if it can be offered at 10.70 today (full offer).

ok clearer. I doubt that though, cos while things are still bad and seemingly getting worse, however unlike during the first panic, the outlook (mid term) seems clearer when compared to the first panic. Thanks

The Chinese Government recently cancelled a deal of someone that wanted to buy out a whole company @ this period in time...................... those that understand value are keying in..................I believe its only daily stock traders, speculators and those in ill health now that are afraid of the current market dynamics

my own advice is that people should just keep buying at their desired prices, madness cant last forever.

It's a very good result cos they paid 11kobo in 2018 FYE.....but the situation on ground wont allow for positive response to the share price for now.
This is an opportunity for dividend hunters to target lower price to enter.
They ought not to release the result now self......buy good for bargain/dividend hunters anyway.
