Even in Italy where they have lost so many people to the virus, there won’t be job vacancies as a result of that. You need a buoyant and booming economy to create more jobs.

3. Lose of collateral.
4. Increase in suicide rate.

7. Increase in out of school children.
8. Workers retrenchment.
9. More bank distress.

I am not confident that it would improve our health care system, because it doesn't seem like we learn from our mistakes.

But I strongly believe that the Chinese will face problems of stigmatization.

There will be more investment in health care systems across Europe.

Many governments would review their health care structures.

Virology will get far more attention than it got previously.

There might be another Cold War. Maybe between China and the United States/the EU.

The WHO would release more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and bring the deadline closer, to put countries on their toes.

Exactly. I don’t know how the guy came up with this conclusion. As if the virus is one tsunami that will wipe out millions of people. Most people dying from the Virus are not in the workforce anyway. They are old pensioners so it will have next to no effect on labor.

As I've been saying on this forum for some time now, the knock-on effect during and post COVID-19 will be huge: as people run out of food,money and patience, they'll turn against their governments. The first law of nature is survival.They'll look for ways at all costs to survive.
The world economy has roughly lost about USD 8 trillion. Many economies are collapsing.As a result, the political dynamics will unravel because state infrastructure will collapse. This is the reason why responsible governments are providing stimulus packages for their people ,to protect jobs or reassure on jobs, to give lifelines or bailouts to industrialists and loans to SMEs ,just for them to stay afloat and swim against the tides of this ocean of disaster.
On the social front ,things will never be the same again.Some people may never kiss, hug or get as close as pre-covid-19.New vistas of social interactions are opening up and being tested.
How will the world get out of this force majeure? Difficult to call. Franklin Delano Roosevelt voted about USD 800 million to jump start the US economy in the 1930s during The Great Depression. Former secretary of State,Henry Marshall proposed The Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe after the ruins of World War 2.USD 300 billion.I think Obama vetoed about USD 700-800 billion to restart the US economy after the economic meltdown of 2008. I don't see Trump giving Europe any dime.
Europe will never be the same after this.Rebuilding will be slow and painful. It's time for a country to make the most of this crisis and emerge as an economic power.

i think our leaders will realize the decay in our health and education sector...coz if the education sector is good.... We'll nt be having poor health facilities, coz if the lectures do well the need for proper medical infrastructure will be put in place to cater 4 d well trained doctors, n personnel............. It will reduce braindrain and medical and educational tourism, thereby enhancing our economy

More identity politics, stricter immigration rules, supply chains will be moved closer to home, stock market will rebound ,
automation in the west.

China will thrive and look for other markets.

Nigeria will remain the same but with higher levels of poverty due to lower oil prices and devaluation.

Poverty ... More crimes, societal disfunction, continued bad governance, the churches will cash out and people will become more stupid.
