The Truth about Ejigbo returnees - Osun Govt 

Our attention has been drawn to a story purporting that six persons were missing from our Isolation centre in Ejigbo. 

One of the writers quoted a non-existent statement from the government to lend some measure of credibility to the story. 

Nothing can be further from the truth. As a government, we have not issued any statement to confirm or deny such story. Besides, a quick check showed that the name and number of the first person on the list of the purported missing patients, is indeed currently in our facility in Ejigbo. 

Recall that  about a week ago,  we received 127 returnees from Ivory Coast and we have kept them since then to avoid community transfer of the virus. 

This morning we embarked on a headcount and found out that only one person could not be accounted for by officials stationed at the Isolation centre out of the 127 persons. 

The State Government is currently investigating the matter and will ensure that the missing person is brought back to the Isolation centre and we will also ensure we trace all his contacts.

We want to reiterate that any official(s) found culpable will also be dealt with accordingly.  

We implore members of the public to discountenance the alarm being raised. We will continue to do everything to protect the lives of our citizens in this fight against Coronavirus.

The boredom & fear of death will be 100% per second, in that prison cell called quarantine facility. An hour will be so slow like 10 hours, compared to ours. A thief by profession will be tempted to do prison break.

Haahaaàaaaaa kasalala done happened. Please the state government should do general searching in order to arrest those patients oooo. Henceforth am not going anywhere again till those people are arrested completed and announced by the state government. Total indoor activated mood

I feel that


Initially NCDC were faking cases of Corona virus for probably financial gains.

Which is why they have so many recovered cases. Since those fake people will have to go back after the whole arrangement. But lemme not sound pessimistic though.

When the real genuine cases will start, and men will start falling. I'd really love to know and see how many they can recover.


For those quoting me, don't worry. Time will tell. America, Italy and the rest started like this. My post will be here. Let's keep allowing people with confirm cases to escape. Don't worry. Isn't it in Bauchi they said a mosque held prayers? A state whose Governor is a carrier, and their aides are usually not tested because they're nobodies. Me I'm a realist, I don't believe all those stupid prayers of God will bla bla. The way Nigerians will die ehn? Don't worry. This post will be here. Time is the key here.

I pray this virus does not spread to Abia State. Normal and healthy people are already living with heaps of Dustbins as neighbors. Good help us o because after seeing where patients suffering minor sicknesses are kept, I wonder how COVID-19 patients isolation center will look like. I just don't want to even guess!

I refuse to be deceived by the Govt, this press release is nothing but a damage control, aimed at dishonestly absorbing the Govt. of any share of the blame in this whole saga, instead of genuine admitttance of making recovery of five patients, out of the six escapees. So if they (Govt) totally dismissed it as a baseless rumor, how come the phone no. of the first patient on the rumored list was so accurate and being used by one in their isolation facility? Even as i condemn the actions of those inconsiderate beings.
