Coming with Yur wife & son, just have it in mind of renting at least 1 bedroom flat that will cost you at least £900 inclusive if you are lucky enough. If I may ask if your course duration at Northumbria University is 1yr or 2yrs.

I am going for a 2 year IT course ----and why i chose London is because of the IT environment and easy connection for IT jobs. please what are your recomendations

Please, I will appreciate all advice.
Thank you my Ables.
cc. Justwise

After your one year studies, you will be given PSW visa for 2 years. Because of your first degree, experience and background tailors to your proposed course, you will definitely get employed.

Start applying to accounting firms in Oct 2020 for September 2021 recruitment.

London is one of the best if not the best for IT jobs. I will plead to you if you can leave wife/son at home at least for 3 months until you settle down. Most Landlords hardly accept couple and child in a studio flat. But if you are financially strong enough, you can come in with them. Applying for National insurance number, getting a job within 2months is a bit difficult.

Other cities are more cheaper but London is like Lagos. Job opportunities are more in London, you can do other business. I still travel over 40miles to London to do my 9ja food shopping.

Good evening house,

I studied accounting and I'm also a Chartered Accountant.I have several years experience in accounting and auditing.

I got an unconditional offer Edinburgh Napier University, MSC leadership and practice 2yr to resume September but I'm planning to defer it to January or so because of this Corona virus issue.

Please house, is this course in line with my background. Can I get a student jobs related to accounting or auditing in Edinburgh? and also stay back jobs after studies?

Please, I will appreciate all advice.
Thank you all
Why not do MSc Finance or even MSc Accounting. Since you are Chartered, you will definitely get employed before the expiration of your PSW after your studies. Go for a one year program as you will be given PSW.
You already have experience so placement wont give you an added advantage of 2 years.

Dont defer now. Wait till July to know the outcome of coronavirus.

Dont do the course as it does not tailors your competences at all. It does not correlate and you might find it hard to get employed.

On checking on your proposed course, I found out that 'MSc Advanced Leadership for Professional Practice course gives allied healthcare professionals the knowledge and skills they need to enhance their practice and prepare for leadership roles.
The course is aimed at registered professionals such as dieticians, audiologists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, paramedics and occupational therapists who seek continuing professional development opportunities'https://www.manchester.ac.uk/study/masters/courses/list/12570/msc-advanced-leadership-for-professional-practice/course-details/#course-profile
. This does not relate to you at all. Dont do what wont add any value to you.

Go for MSc Finance or even MSc Accounting and be an expert. With your MSc and Chartered status, you will be hot cake wherever in the world. Start applying to finance or accounting firms in Oct 2020 for September 2021 recruitment. You will definitely get employed before the expiration of PSW.

The two courses you mentioned are good...

To me I would advise you to go for the one that would gives you more time to stay back and work cause investment return is necessary for this hassle.

Both are HEALTH RELATED COURSES and check both locations and tuition fee respectively and go from there...

I suggest you write the school requesting for change of course, if they offer the course you wish to change to. It's much easier since they already have your documents and credentials. Also with your experience and professional qualification, I strongly recommend you go for MSc. Accounting as earlier advised by @hosey. You stand a better chance

Good morning all. Just want to ask if anyone already applied or school in Northumbria University London campus. Spoke with their representative on phone, she said for the M. Sc Advance practice of £18000,they offer £2000 for international students. After acceptance, deposit of £2k will be required, and £6k more can be paid 3months latest after course resumption. And remaining balance of £8k paid 1year.
Just want to know how true is this. Tanx
