Bascovanveli, Jordan Nwora has declared for the NBA draft ..
Do u think he is gonna make it ??

Yes he will get drafted but right now we are looking at late first round or early second round. Scouts have some question marks on him but I believe that if he gets with a good system he will surely reach his potential.

Btw we have 3 other Nigerians projected to go in the first round. Onyeka Okongwu, Isaac Okoro and Udoka Azubuike.

I think the right thing to do was to put contract discussions off until the world is in a stable place. That said I see no issue in the terms put on the table. There was nothing mind blowing, the only question is If the coach wants to stay in Nigeria or not. I do have a major problem with the publicizing of the terms prior to a contract being signed in that manner.

That's great!. It's good we got Nwora early...

I'm confident we will have a better squad for the next Afrobasket( I wonder when it will take place now) and win it!

Well it’s clear they want to make him uncomfortable. Now it’s up to him to take better offers elsewhere or not. That they are making the terms public, we can see the handwriting on the wall.

I don't like Rohr and I advocated for his sack immediately after the World Cup.

Sacking him now is really wrong timing as he's been able to bring a bit of stability to the team.

At least you are speaking the truth

Would you like amunike or yobo ?

Lol.

Wrong thread?

Heck, football is on leave because of the Covid-19 outbreak. If there is one place to discuss Covid-19, it is the football threads, because it has had a devastating effect on football.

Hey Komekn .. while you were away,we all literally had a hot argument about Yobo's appointment into the national team coaching setup...
We have been told that u are a big fan of Yobo .and at the same time,we know that u have little love for Amaju and the Nff grin .

So,do you think Yobo's appointment was merited and justifiable? Or was it just man know man thing... Especially when u consider the fact that Yobo has no coaching licence yet...

We'd like to hear your thoughts ..
grin

Yobo was not invited to the NFF set up by Amaju.

The experiential competence that Yobo has acquired by participation in 20 years + of professional football in Europes top leagues from some of the top coaches in the world exceeds most so called coaches with badges.

Having a driving licence doesn't make you a great driver.

I think Rohr’s strengths is something we badly need. What they should be doing is finding him a very good assistant. They recruited Yobo and some of us celebrated. I think una eye done dey clear now about their intentions. Questionable decisions is always a bad sign.

Their eyes never clear finish ooo, how can someone who want the best for naija celebrate yobo being the assistance to rohr?

No worry by the time amunike enter as coach their eyes go clear finish then my trolling to start for here if e make any mistake

When the Federation does it, there's no problem.

When Rohr was doing it last year, saying they were yet to pay him, he was violating his terms of contract.

Many of the best coaches weren't profferessional footballers

If playing football helped, Maradona and Pele would have been great coaches

There is a saying " Look before you leap" and another " Think before you talk "

Apart from Mourinho can you tell me one EPL Manager that did not play proffessional football prior to becoming a football club Manager, please ??

We could go to the Championship and then across the Football leagues of Europe.

I am not sure how you qualify "Best Manager" but I presume winning trophies and performing in the top leagues will be a big part of it. In that context tell me one Manager ( although you said MANY) in the top leagues that you describe as best that did no play proffessional football excluding Mourinho.

Now after you have thought about it and realised how unwise your claim is, put your head in the freezer, too cool your head down, because it seems to be over heating. Thats why you deh talk like this. shocked shocked shocked shocked

Carlos Pereira - World cup winner
Arrigo Sachi - Two Champions leagues
Avram Grant - Champions league finalist
Andres Villas Boas--Europa League winner

Even Arsene Wenger and Mourinho didn't excel at playing career

Now compare with the top footballers

Pele +Maradona +Ronaldo +Ronaldinho +Alan Shearer +Gary Neville +Paul Scholes + Sol Campbell = 0 trophies

Bonfrere: Westerhof Sold Nigeria’s Game Against Italy At USA World Cup

Former Super Eagles technical adviser Bonfrere Jo has blamed the team’s exit at the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States of America on the erstwhile handler of the side Clemens Westerhof.

The Super Eagles agonisingly lost 2-1 to Itlay in their second round match in the competition.

The three-time African champions were a minute away from recording a famous victory against the Italians before Roberto Baggio netted the equalising goal.

Baggio then struck from the spot in extra time to hand victory to Arigo Sacchi’s men.

Bonfrere, who was Westerhof’s number two at that time has come out to say that the latter sold the game to Italy.

“Yes Everyone blames the coach. The coach did something wrong and we lost before the game started,” Bonfrere revealed in an interview with Brila FM.

“He sold the game for $100,000, that’s why we lost against Italy. If you don’t believe, you can ask the players.”

English Football League One club Sunderland are set to receive a transfer windfall if Nigeria international Josh Maja departs Bordeaux in the next transfer window, according to reports.

The Shields Gazette has reported that the Black Cats inserted a ten percent sell-on clause into the deal taking Maja to Bordeaux in January 2019.

The young striker is on the radar of Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers who have identified him as a possible replacement for Alfredo Morelos.

Maja is valued in the region of €6.3 million by transfer market experts, meaning Sunderland stand to pocket €630,000 if Rangers should bid for his services at his current market value.

The 21-year-old joined Sunderland on scholarship terms in the summer of 2015, rising through the ranks before he was promoted to the first team and departed the club with 49 games under his belt.

Maja spent time with the youth teams of Crystal Palace and Fulham before he was snapped up by Sunderland.

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his desire to continue managing the team by penning a new contract, reports Completesports.com.
Rohr’s current deal will expire in June and the Nigeria Football Federation is ready to offer the German an extension.

NFF president Amaju Pinnick stated on Tuesday that Rohr must abide with some conditions in the new contract.

Rohr states that money is not a motivational factor at this stage of his coaching career and is ready to continue his adventure in Nigeria.

“I’m waiting for the (contract) proposal. Things could be very easy. I don’t want more money, bonuses.I just want to keep doing this,” the former Bordeaux gaffer stated in an Instagram chat with Collin Udoh.

“Personally, I received a few offers from other countries but I rejected them. I just want to take this team to the next Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.”

Rohr, who has previously managed Gabon , Niger and Burkina Faso national teams was named Super Eagles head coach in August 2016 .

On October 7, 2017, his Nigeria-led team became the first African side to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup after a 1–0 win against Zambia.

He led Nigeria to a third-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
