lets round it up to 95 tonnes (filling sand); 20 tonnes cost about 40K (find out price in your zone)

(repeat for clay if needed)

You will need about 104tonnes of Laterite sand..

So.you need to know how much they will deliver 30tonnes of long trailer for you. So just buy 4 long trailers..

The one I bought last was 12tonnes trailer @18thousand each
That means you will need about Nine 12tonnes trailer @18k
That's about 162 thousand naira to feel half plot of land 1foot above the ground level

Others should calculate and let's compare notes

Calculate the volume of space you need to fill in cubic meter.
Length - 120ft = 36.576m
Width - 30ft = 9.144m
Height - 1ft = 0.3048m

VOLUME = 36.576m × 9.144m × 0.3048m = 101.94m³

Now we know the volume of void we need to fill, we know to the mass(weight) that can fill that void.

Density of Laterite is 1 019 kg/m³

Mass = volume × density
= 101.94 × 1019
= 103876.86kg
= 103.876 tonnes

The tonnes is dependent on the density of the material you are using for filling

Yes.

These days, the thickness of the 0.45mm gauge is nothing to write home about.

There is a 0.50mm gauge that has been introduced. If you don't have money for 0.55mm, use 0.50mm.

Although some companies have good 0.45mm but it's costlier than those they sell for 1200 or 1250.

I use both Manual and Software depending... This particular one was done with manual (using constants ie formula).

This is a very helpful calculation and professionally done. However, please do not encourage the introduction of CLAY to any building site. This is poor practice. Clay is a very poor soil quality which often times than not is responsible for cracks in building without expensive due diligence regarding the foundation.

We don't know what the poster wants to use the land for but I will encourage laterite all through. No clay please.

Mean while product and quality determine the price.
For example must product you get in USA is either Delta,Chicago, moen, and when you compare the price with here plus shipping you will see that the price here are ok.

Before here when we have top brand in the world in mkt am talking about 15yrs back, although only few are available now and very expensive

All these brand are very expensive range from35-100k per set of shower.

Presently most suppliers done even know this type only few guys knows this.
If all these are very expensive then China is there label England or Germany for lesser price

Reason why I do explain deeply and the truth to anybody that asked me to supply any product to him or her, it’s now left for the person decides.

I do tell people forget about name you see on products we know the genuine one which is very few in the mkt presently

.Any pumping machine submersible 1hp lesser than 70-80 is not European make. ( although those good China will still perform the magic o)

What we do we see this days mostly is non professional advise which in turn do give some home base bad names bcs for example some who has not visited site ones in his life or know anything about building will be give building quote to non home base person and later a professional give advise or quote the next thing we will see is that the quote is TOO HIGH,
so many thing like that pls is too annoying why because some of you guru has ran away from here.
