I visit Canada and the US from time to time, but on this my last trip I could not but observe just how extremely lonely Nigerian girls are there. Why did they immigrate in the first place? What did they expect what waiting for them on the other side? A man gift wrapped in iced sugar?

They all have Youtube channels now, or Instagram channels and release video or vlogs every other day. I guess it is the easiest way to stop themselves from going crazy over the dreary loneliness.

But the problem doesn't even stop there. Normally, I would have been interested sef. But many of them are actually not so good-looking or resourceful. Too bad!

If you are a Nigerian girl thinking of immigrating to Canada, make sure you consider it hard and deep. You could end up being just as lonely and dejected. Am not kidding when I say this. If you aren't there, you have no idea how tough it can get.

lol don't be deceived with the career scam. Nobody has ever been happy because he/she is working. Almost everybody normally hates his job but feminists somehow found a way to paint work as heaven to women and I'm very disappointed how women fell for all the scam. Women were far happier 50 years ago when they really had chance to take care of their own families than now that they just chase illusion. Women weren't using antidepressants and narcotics or committing suicide like this 50 years ago.

When bringing a lady to the US or any Western country it is important she passes a few tests in order to reduce the risk of what your professor friend is going through.
1. Ensure she is a practicising Christian- born-again, Spirit-filled.
2. She MUST be naturally humble and a listener.
3. Check her family background. If there is a history or a story of divorce and seperation in her family or relatives, STAY AWAY.
4. Get to know her and become a friend with her.
5. If she is a feminist- and you can know from her social media engagements- STAY AWAY from her.
6. If she comes from a background which means she lacks exposure, the risk rises when she is overwhelmed with the kind of exposure and "power" the West gives females.

Essentially her character and background must be spot-on. It reduces the risk of the kind of stories we hear these days.

Bruh, forget all that tests you wrote up there. They were married and lived in naija before relocating to US. While in naija, the wife was the type you call 'good wife'. Getting to US, she realized the laws protect women first, the law gives preference to women, government money was easy to come by, child support is a beau.....then she lost it. One quarrel to another unresolved quarrels. She started toying with the idea of divorce... Before you could shout 'caution' she divorced her husband and started living off child support, child benefits, tax returns... One thing she doesn't realize is that no matter the years she keeps the child away, the child will look for her father.

Meanwhile, I dey USA & I'm lonely asf! I've only being here for 3 months though & all I can say is: "being in the western world is like "survival of the fittest".

Yeah I have a cousin in her 40s.
She used to be miserable living single in the northern province. Could break down from depression every winter.
Then one year, she married a local white boy and had kids after trying many years.
We are so happy for her.

It's not about Nigerians alone, they hardly get married here in Canada, it's all about boyfriend or girlfriend. You will see a lady of 40 telling you she's never married in her life but she's having kids with different men. So it's like a way of life.
