The person who raised this issue was asking if he can say during his visa interview that his accommodation plan after arriving in UK is to stay temporarily with his brother who lives at Moorgate. Hello house, please who has applied for ATAS before 6th of April? I mean like Dec./Jan. and has got the ATAS.

I made a mistake in the my course title on the ATAS online application:

Aeronautical Engineering instead of Aerospace Engineering.

All other details correct, I have mailed them, and got back a mail not to duplicate it( not to send again)

Should I assume they will get it corrected or the certificate will have the error like that?

Why can't you go for MSc Computer science or Advanced computer science. Going for specific course like data science, cyber security etc automatically means you have put yourself in one single area but with computer science, you can move from one area to another base on your skills since it's wide. My suggestion because I also read CSC.

Computer science is a great course! but this is my view about CSc. --- Jack of all trade and master of non in this new world, area of specialization is keen!

i dont mean to attack you or your course... i love it also and i have scores of friends who did it in the UK

This will be my plan if i were to study computer related course in '"London"

1. I must learn python and SQL in Nigeria before leaving for London

2. I must apply for a 2yr course to cushion pressure

3. I must identify and work with a python programming firm or work in a python tutorial center FREE for 2months

4. I must study my class work excellently

5. In the first year, i must deprive myself comfort , work less than 20hrs and study more than 8hrs perday

6. I will look haggard and hungry for the first year unless i have a wife who will be working for us

7. during summer holiday in my 1st year, i will get a low paying job in a tech field and may work more than 8hrs/day or , i will register to learn kali an script-bashing

8. In my second year i will use what i learnt in my first year to write CIsco CyberOps Associate
CCNP Security
Certified Ethical Hacking Certification
GIAC Penetration Tester
Offensive Security Certified Professional assuming i am doing cyber sec

9. 4 months before my mcs cert, i will use all i know and experience to file for jobs in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia

After these, i will reign over the cyber space and teach my children.

With your proposed specialization, it might be easier for you to get a Tier 1 start up visa if you can apply what the content of this degree seems to suggest. You might want to read up about it.

If you mean getting a job as in getting an employer to issue you a CoS for a Tier 2 after your degree, then with this specialisation your chances are low if you don't have skills in demand. It's for you to do research and find out what those are, you're about to commit 13k pounds to a venture, you should be able to do the research.

If you just want any job to work at for however long that may be, then I suppose your chances are as good as anyone else's.

You can apply along with your wife if you both have the required maintenance to show. The different names don't necessarily matter as long as you are properly married with reliable documentation and other evidence to prove it.

The person should just say I plan for university accommodation. It works 99.9 percent of time.

Saying you want to stay with your brother temporarily implies that the money in your account does not reflect your true situation and
you will most likely be rejected.

The allotted money in your bank account for 28 days indicate that you can cater your school fees, accommodation and living expenses all by yourself.

You also dont need to submit any accommodation evidence as this is not required for Tier 4 and Tier 4 dependant application.

I understand you but what I'm trying to say is that with computer science degree, you can delve into any industry based on your skills in case there's no job opening for specific courses (data science etc). After all, it's your skills that matter and the certificate won't limit you to one phase. Having computer science degree, I can apply to anywhere once I know that I have the skills (I'm not limiting it to what we are going to learn in class in this scenario). It's all good though.
