[quote author=ajayidebo post=88316269]Seems like you are working two jobs? Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, what do you mean by medical representative?

Yes I am working two jobs. Medical rep: sales of pharmaceutical products to pharmacies, hospitals and also detailing ( what the drug is all about and how to prescribe to the patients) of these drugs to the doctors and pharmacist.

This is not the case with her Phd. Because it's related and the minimum qualification is MSc which she has, she will be awarded full points for qualification and experience.
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ajayidebo: 9:30am On Apr 11, 2020
I suppose you should be able to work with this if the working hours is more than 20 hours per week. What come to mind is Sales Representative (Medical and Pharmaceutical Products). The problem is currently no state is offering nomination for it. What you can do is go through anzscosearch.com/search and see if you can find any other occupation that is closely related to what you do.

Thanks for your reply. Although I hope to use my MSc. Degree in occupational health and safety for this immigration. Is there any possibility? I will be going for a 6 months internship on the course in an oil&gas company. Will that count as experience?
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by ajayidebo: 9:54am On Apr 11, 2020
You'll need at least 1 year work experience

Thanks boss,

Please how do i tweak the offer letter?[

I have pension, salary bank statement, payslips and tx statement for all the years

uote author=tunlex01 post=88310607]

You can apply as a Pharmacy technician; aligning your roles to fit that of a technician and not a pharmacist. That offer letter may need to be tweaked cos Vetassess will not approve a pharmacist for a technician.

Do you have pension, salary bank statement, payslips and tx statement for all the years?

You also did not state your spouse's details.

How to tweak your offer letter? I can't help with that.
What I know is that Vetassess won't approve a pharmacist for a technician role. Your Offer letter, CV, and reference letter must align to a technician role

The pharmacist option is still open if you have the funds and can travel to write the exams

Good morning good people.
I have been reading but don't even know how to go about anything because my work experience doesn't really tally with my education. I need someone to help analyse my data for me and also advice on the way forward so I can start putting things in place.

Bsc. Biochemistry (2014) Uniport
MSc. Occupational health and safety (2019-2020) degree in view. Uniport.
Experience : Npower teacher (August 2018 - date), Medical representative (September 2018 - date)
Married (2 kids)
Haven't written IELTs

Nothing here. Medical representative is a bit available but your degree from Uniport cannot support the assessment.

You didn't state what your spouse does?

You need at least 1 year experience after the degree to assess with Vetassess. If you will be given offer letter, with tax or pension paid during the internship, you should be able to use it

The fees you quoted are for those with Australian degrees, and if your degree is not from Washington accord or Dublin accord, you're to write a CDR which is more than that figure.

Thanks, I got it now. Standard Competency Demonstration Report should be the one for applicants with zero work experience with a background in engineering qualifications?

Lastly, what's the difference between Excl. GST and Inc. GST?

Standard CDR is for those who want to assess only their engineering degree without assessing the work experience (even if they have); which, is enough for you. No need to spend the extra for work experience assessment from EA

GST applies to people paying while within Australia (onshore); excluding GST will apply in your case- since you're paying from outside Australia

Excl - Exclusive, Inc - Inclusive.
Goods and Services Tax which is only applicable to those assessing onshore, since you are assessing offshore then it is exclusive GST.

Noted.

ajayidebo:
anzscosearch.com/search

The relevance is that, for a skill level 1 occupation BSc is the minimum requirement. For instance, VETASSESS only recognise BSc from Tier 1 universities like Unilag. If your university is not classify as Tier 1, then it has to be a 5 years program. If it's not, the BSc will be graded as equivalent to their Associate Degree and not BSc.

Thanks for your response, My hubby will be 45 November 2021.He works with a lagos tax firm.
What does the big 4 mean please ?

tunlex01:

Your Pgde will not give you a positive assessment with AITSL. BSc in Education is compulsory.
Your spouse can also not assess as a Tax Accountant because Australian tax is different from Nigerian tax, however if he can tweak his documents for General Accountant/Management Accountant/Management consultant; that may work.

Does he work in any of the big 4s?
what month is his 45 birthday?

What you should do is go through anzscosearch.com/search and search for occupation that is closely related to your occupation. You'll find options like laboratory technician, laboratory scientist etc. Job title is not really important, job description is.

Your Bsc is good.
Years of work experience is also good.

Thanks for the reply

Loads of thanks. Already looking at PTE-A to get as much point as we can.
Spouse: MBA 2012 Obafemi Awolowo University
Worked as a sales representative/marketer for a while, now runs his own business. I think he falls within market specialist. We intend claiming English points alone.

If I get this process correctly, 491 and 190 automatically gives 15 and 5 points, respectively.

Thanks for the PhD clarification too.

tunlex01:

You have a good point however you need to rewrite English.

Phd is 20 points, Experience will give you about 15 points as well.

You did not give details of your spouse's full educational profile and experience

Your ACCA should fly for any of the 3 assessing bodies you decide to go with.
Was your spouse's work experience in oil marketing or an oil marketing firm? Psychology degree from which university?

Do you also mean one can assess their degree without working experience and thus the person dsnt need a CDR?

Thank you @ Bellong. I received a positive assessment.
I've gone ahead to submit my EOI on Skillselect but i'm not sure what to do after this. Am i supposed to wait for an invite or do i indicate interest in the regions? My occupation is only available on 190 and 481

Your question was ambiguous. As long as your job descriptions align with the ANZSCO for your nominated occupation, you should be fine.
