It's a nice thought and for organisations that have their staff at heart, its a good suggestion.

I will appreciate your comment if you actually are a business owner and do understand the business challenges involved in this climate, then you have earned the right to make such comment, however if the reverse is the case, then I will tell you talk is cheap. You are only sentimental because you are on the receiving end and have nothing at stake. Ethnically as business owners you need to work things out with your staff during this period. Government can afford to pay their workers because it is Government, the money is already budgeted. All or most government parastatals don't fund their salaries, the major reason corruption strives and the economy not productive and why we are here as a country.

Sorry to say but someone like yourself will not even pay a dime assuming u have a company with staffs .

Its easy for workers to expect money at the end of the month ,even if the company is in debts and striving to stay afloat. You didn't work for one month .Company was in standstill for one month u still want Oga to cough out money and give you, instead of facing the government who does not give a fucvk whether we die of hunger or not .

Don't mind him. As if it's easy to run an enterprise. Clubs as big as Barcelona are cutting players wages to as much as 70% and he is here typing balderdash.
A whole Liverpool is enrolling their players to the national scheme and so forth.
I earnestly encourage those that can pay in full or some percent to pay their staff but all in all running a business or private organisation is not easy.

Right from the beginning of this lockdown, my workplace got us mifis and PCs so we work from home EVERY DAY even weekends.We do zoom video meetings, share screens and use other remote work apps so trust me, we're getting paid.

I however understand he needs it for sustenance and currently not looking at what his employer is going through this period.

My boss just completed my salary yesterday bcs he paid twice and during dis lockdown we are managing to open shop for at least 3hrs, so in those time,he use to give 1k everyday but I don't know if the money is for transportation or dats how he would pay me this month.my salary is 55k.
So I'm confused Pls I need u guys opinion whether I should ask him if the money is for transport or that's how he pay me this month

not every organization will pay salary, some organization still still have 2 to 3 salary to pay their staff

I thank God in have father who is loving. Weeks ago, he had already paid salaries of the gatemen, securitymen etc and told them to go into lockdown even before time.
I'd do the same over and over if I was a boss too.

Did u read about JUVENTUS (salary suspended for 3months and be paid installmentally ?) and BARCA ( 70% paycut for all playing staffs both football and basketball players just to be able to pay the non playing staffs?). These are clubs wt high revenues. This time calls for sacrifice as egungun don enter express already. When there is no input, output will be drastically affected. No one saw this coming. Both employers and employees are in this together and now is the time to support ur employer who have never let u down with salary issues in the past. We locked down a week before the government announced its lockdown. We paid all our staff in full for the month of March. We committed to pay them their basic pay for the month of April. If the lockdown exceeds April.... we hope the government will take care of them.

U don't honestly. Just open BBC Sports link, one of the biggest issues there is players wages. Most clubs have told their non playing staffs to go on a temporary leave without payment, some clubs have agreed to take the government intervention loan/deferral. Some clubs are talking to their players to agreed on a pay cut, Real Madrid players agreed on 20% cut. Players in Serial A refused to take pay cut. Some clubs players even waive their salaries during this corona an example is the German league. Now many clubs cannot be able to pay salaries of their players it the corona continue the main reason why some clubs are anticipating for resumption to training or close door matches.

Let me tell u something about the average oga or boss in Nigeria.
It's not that they dont have the palliative measures to help their workers o. It's just that they dont want to use money they are putting into building a house somewhere to pay them. No heart of love. Eod.
These are the kind of times that a true boss, or a true oga shows himself. We dont have a heart of love.
That house we r building should not be a bigger idea than the lives of our workers.
