Watch out for Guinness. The alcoholic beverage industry has shifted to spirits and related drinks. A field where Guinness is presently dominated. At the current price, I see a lot of promise.
The competition in that industry is crazy at the moment. For every Orijin you have Yoyo bitters, alomo etc. Compare that to the cement industry where you have just 4 or 5 players setting market price at will and without any threat from importation.

NB: Not a recommendation.

My question is, are we past the worse economic pandemic? I do not think so, I expect there to still be a terrible recession as soon as the distraction of Coronavirus wears off whether or not there is a cure. So will this upward trend of the market continue in the same upward surge it is going or will this rally only last for a while? It is just confusing to me.
Markets all over the world are always in circles of bulls and bears. It's your responsibility as an investor or trader to be vigilant to know when to enter and when to exit. Enjoy the current bull while it last. If recession comes later you can change strategy life goes on.

Forget that bro. Guinness has been doing the spirit business for a while now. With that we even expected them to be bigger than NB. Still, no show. Maybe bad management, who knows??!

With Guinness, those who know the extent of their current spread will understand their relative advantage in the emerging spirit war.

At today's closing price, Guinness Nigeria market capital is about 49.2 billion only. How much is that in dollars again? Is it enough to build one of their factories. Their price to book ratio is unbelievable. Their parent company is a global giant in their space. With Nigeria's population, the future of alcoholic beverages remain appealing.

I expected it to close at N5 or above today but I don't understand why they kept dragging the price back. Over 70M traded.
Maybe some are taking profits or not yet satisfied with the units they have, don't know.
Let's see how the remaining 3 trading days before markdown will be.

Unilever is not for someone looking for quick gain. Yes, it's been somehow static at 10.50 after moving from 9+ to that spot.
Deep pockets will reason it's matter when it's time.
Anyone with better info should pls come up with it as well.

Caveat: Pls note that this is purely my opinion. Not an advert either.
Noted. Thanks.

Most transactions are done electronically now so I see no reason why they can't credit your account as necessary...

Send them a mail and they will clarify things...

Sir, I doubt if you have access to their FY report 2019. Recovery check is not about stock price difference, else 90% of coys on NSE will be a no go area!. I think they're not doing badly at the moment. WAPCO, UACN etc are also examples of companies on a good path after the storm.

Any recommendation on MTN, it has been quiet for a while. I will like to imagine it should move fast. People are buying data more.

Sir, so many events happened between the time it sold at that high price and the current price. Examples are share bonus, dividend payout, dividend yield increase etc.

Consequently, smart long term investors who study financial statements of the companies they are invested in and pay attention to the figures will see the sign and bail out before the tsunami grin.

Pa Emma(@emmanuelewumi) is a long term investor, and I hope he will shed more light on this.

Rent is not guaranteed.
not at all, my friend works in an oil and gas and they have started laying off workers already and reduce their salaries. So, how will such pay their rent when income is not coming in again. Let him report to 1m village elders nothing will happen the worst is, they go to court and court will tell the land lord to give the tenant some time to look for another appartment which could be up to 6months and the tenant will stay in the house for free so who is loosing in the long run?

It’s actually one of the company’s financial statements I read... it’s a company I like for no particular reason... I’m just thinking of the long term shareholders that have been holding for years, do you ever see it rebounding in the mid term like the likes of uacn and Wapco are

Another thing if I may add is management... the new md of Cadbury seems to be solid
