I was in her poultry feeding her birds when I mistakenly stepped one of her birds to death I swear she made sure I paid for it.

My mum told me one certain day dat i am a useless child all because i didn't adhere to one of her orders, she disowned me that moment and i did Same also..she started comparing me to other successful Guys out there,we argued that day alot but we finally reconciled that day but my mom is so insensitive with words most times and i have warned her that her words hurts my self esteem...Most Nigerian Parents needs to learn how to talk to their children

She's Still the best Mother to me though

What's the most painful word your mother ever told you and you feel depressed or pained.

Mine:
I waa very stubborn when I was little and there was a day she said she should have flushed my pregnancy out and that am a bastard. Well i packed my load and left home for 2 months but money finish and I had to go back home. She apologized and everything was cool.

I was just 6years old then, my mum said she loved my elder brother the most of her 3 children...I felt sad as a child....am over 30 yrs...I didn't hold it against her but I never forgot!
So,we parents should be careful of what we say to our children...cos they won't forget!!

I was 26 and not married.
My mum repeatedly embarrassed me with:

-You are a source of shame to me.
-All my mates have sons-in-law and grandchildren.
-Menopause is approaching.Its a pity
-Hope you are not a lesbian.
-Are you into prostitution that you have refused to marry?
-Your mates post pictures of themselves with their husbands and children on Facebook & WhatsApp.Where is your own? You are still posting single pictures.

And so many hurtful statements.

I was struggling in my final year in medical school.
But she was more interested in me getting married.

I got married 2 years after during my housemanship.

Our relationship has been kinda strained..especially after I relocated to UK.

I only just send her money...We don't talk much.

I have 2 kids now..Her grandchildren.
I love my mum.I miss her though but I haven't forgotten.

Sorry bro.. just forget and forgive her.. some African Mother abuse their children subjected you to some psychological torture.
I have forgiven her since. I understand her frustrations sometimes feeding a grown up man that's suppose to be sending them money and things. He go better. God bless you my brother.

From when I was small till now I have been a good son, never fought, never quarrelled with anyone but recently my mother said something that almost made me cry she said I should be better off dead than living. That I'm no use to her.

I'm praying to God to get a good job so I can leave the house very soon.

We are quite similar, hope i leave family home soon

The love she showed me when she was alive made me to forget whatever she ever said
My dad left and she brought us up single-handedly
She sacrificed everything she had to see that we had the best
I was very brilliant but I dissapointed her due to my poor choice of friends which later landed into trouble several times but she was always there for me even when everybody turned their back on me; brothers, sisters uncles daddy etc
She actually died of cancer last year
RIP mum

And the best you can do now to make her smile where she is, is to leave the bad company and get determined to make it in life. In a Legit Way.

And if you have made it already. Kudos!

And she would be proud of you before the angels.
"That's my son, I knew he would be somebody"
grin

Remain blessed.

When I told her that God must be a fool for giving all Christians the gift of speaking in tongue but no one the gift of curing COVID-19, she said to me, "My son, I thought of something like that few years ago."

It pained me so much that my mum kept the foolishness of God away from me for years.

My love is actually waxing stronger in this COVID-19 period. It's like I've eaten a love potion from my wife within this lockdown. I can't stop loving her.

In other news, see what a nairalander turned a beautiful hymn to:

My hope is built on nothing else than Jesus dicck and righteous mess.
I cannot suck his dicck alone but call on all my friends and foe.

On Christ God's solid dicck I stand, all other diccks are stinking bad, all other diccks are stinking bad (Song by Yahwehpenis)

Ha!

She categorically told me in my cousin's presence that my eldest sibling (first son) and I (last) were not here children, that the second son was here only child.

It never really pained me; the woman could say it all and that my brother aligned with her perfectly, no questions. I on the other hand, kinda had a mind of my own and quite opinionated on some critical issues.

But she was the best mum still.

RIP R.O.O.!
I think she spilled a secret to you

Mum sent me for an errand during Popsy's burial and I wanted to give her an excuse. Then, she quickly responded before all the people present "You know you have never been useful to me since I gave birth to you". I was shocked beyond words cause no guy in my family looks after her like I do.
I pray that memory leaves my mind.
She was annoyed
