Capt. Christy Martin, Columbus AFB international military student officer, said she was excited to watch Kafayat grow and thrive as the first female fighter pilot in Nigeria. “I think she is going to perform that title well. Sanni has a very bubbly personality and was very positive throughout the whole entire training. Pilot training is a very stressful, strenuous course, but she has always stayed positive. I think she is very determined and very excited to go back and fly fighters in her country as well,” Martin said.

Kafayat was trained in the United States of America. She is the first that went through regular combat training at the Nigerian Defence Academy to be winged for a fixed wing fighter aircraft.

I didn't curse I only called you ignorant. Its obvious you know nothing about military. A US army officer can not carry the badge of another country on his uniform. That's so basic bros. As a matter of fact, an army officer can never carry the badge of another country.

Dont generalize.... a lot of Nigerians towed the right part, had beautiful dreams, made good grades but Nigeria limits majority, which is definitely a combined effort of corruption.

Was watching a documentary on Sadio mane of liverpool and he said the only occupation every child in his village defaults to is farming.. despite going to school and making good grades, which very well replicates here.. are they corrupt aswell?... yes some might excel wonderfully in the dream Nigeria eventually gave them, but was that really their dream?

Nigeria limits majority...

She is a Nigerian Airforce officer! Nigeria military sent her abroad for training, its a normal thing. Majority of our officers have gone out for a course or two.

Nigerian actually made it possible for the brave young Nigerian young ladies to achieve their dreams not only by believing in them but also by providing international training platforms to train with the best at one of the best training facilities in the world, 14th Flying Training Wing, COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss.

It's actually very commendable that Nigerian is not only tapping brave and young talents but also willing to support and give them the best training money can buy.

This is just the beginning because I see this young lady getting more training, flying advanced, and more sophisticated fighter jet as we grow air airforce systems.

Developed country reward talents but in Nigeria, we reward base on tribal affiliation and religious affinity with the one at the top....

There was an international training someone in my department was sent to do. By all measures, the guy didn't qualify for the training but because he's the son to one of the ones at the top, he was sent to go for the training.
He messed up big time because he can cope with the level of intelligence required for the training....and that the system we operate in Nigeria.
A dullard will be promoted ahead of best brains.... I'm done with Nigeria.

I strongly support you on this.
- where are those the facilities & equipments to make one excel in their dreams?
- Where are common basic social amenities to make one achieve the little goals of life?
- Where is the security to safeguard lives of properties of the citizens? Many dreams have been cut short due insecurity.
- Where is the enabling environment for the citizens to thrive in every area of life, guess none.
Any society where only the rich have power to do whatever they want & the poor are being marginalized because of their conditions, there can never be growth & prosperity in such place.
Nigeria is a very clear example.

Fulfilling the dream

Sanni said she’s always wanted to be a fighter pilot and “I was just lucky to be chosen.”

It was also my choice It was what I wanted to do. And I felt that everyone is not supposed to fold their arms and watch what is happening in our country.

“Everyone could always play their part. So, I did not think there was any reason for me to think that it is not possible for me to actually fly the jet because there was no female that ever flew the jet. I believe I could achieve it and I did,” she said.[/b]

According to her, it was her dream and her choice so stop trying to speak for the people that you don't know.

You people just do needless I too know and na only me sabi just to display hatred and bad bele..

Her dream was to become a fighter pilot and Nigeria her country believed in her dream, they trained her, she was the overall best in her class and they sent her aborad to perfect her dream.

It's not by force to comment or to do display bad bele, you don't know the woman so just keep quiet.
