So I went for the interview, I got there around 8am till 5:30pm the interviewer never showed up, when they're about to close one man came to me gave me #1500 and said sorry for your time.

Btw, bring all your funds to my table at a juicy rate

When the employer asked me if I had a boyfriend and wat was my favorite night club in Lagos ..he went further to ask.." why can't I get a boyfriend who would get me a job"... ...I shock dat day...I noticed wen I entered d...office while I waited in d reception ...d receptionist didnt greet him at all in fact they avoided eye contact....after dat day I knew working there would be a big error

Not my personal experience though,

A young Lady went for a job interview and immediately she enter the room, they ask her to sit down and kindly introduce herself.
After that she notice that questions were just coming from every side(it was a round table interview).
She was just looking dump and was like "pls one by one now"
Funny enough one of her core competencies was "Able to work under pressure".

Don't include skill's you can't defend

A job Interview at popular web hosting company, I was confident of getting the job, and I was very happy at the lobby, only to open the door and find Four most beautiful girls , seated.. I knew things were gonna be tough , I started smilling meekishly and forgetting what I wanted to say, the girls laughter even made things worse, I bet they were some kind of feminist that just traped a prey.. they then burst my bubbles and ask me to try calm down.. see shame and shyness plus sweat, the grilling no be here

Last Last I got the Job but the pay was very low and the job needed me to relocate to an expensive city, so I declined the offer

The other one I hated was when some foolish GNLD deceived many of us for an interview all seated in an hall only for them to start stupid seminar, I stood up to make my way to the exit only to find the doors closed and the usher told me that I must wait till the nonsense seminar ends.. I saw the dressing of their so called members and checked the richest member they had, his phone, his shoes I just stood up again and went to threaten the usher that I would cos her real problem if she doesn't let me out... Told them i'll rather yahoo than do that trash they do

7 obasa str,Ikeja. Pls never go there. If they were using someone's head for ritual my enemy would have been a victim. We went thinking it was an interview. In a hall of over 100 people or so they asked us not to communicate. They had like 4 people in the hall. We were been called. After some time, one of them said her dream was to have an estate with an airport in it. I Was just observing them. After sometime, i carry my bag waka. Only for me to meet some others outside and we discovered one of the reasons they don't want us discussing is that they each sent everyone of us mails with different company name. The one I pity was the girl that came from port Harcourt.
thank God I came out of it sha.
But God go punish those people.

Interviewers-Tell us why we should take you

Me-i have a track record of success all through my secondary and university education.

Interviewers- what success We have a first class amongst you candidates. Oh i see you have ican but we also have acca and cfa holders. So tell us another thing.

Me- errm errm errm.

Interviewer- ok let's give you a minute to comport yourself.

Me- i am a fast learner and can use my persuasion skills to get things done or sell a product.

Interviewers- what persuasion. I can't seem to see any.


Omo i wan die that day. I entered bus back to my current work place in lekki almost crying. Last last they chose all of us they interviewed that day

I've come to notice that most people that are always too good to defend themselves during interviews don't even get the job done

I was once asked by an interviewer to list the helicopters in their fleet
These was after I spent some minutes explaining my zeal and desire to fly, and how much I dreamt about it bla bla bla (all na wash o, na salary I dey find lol)
Worse was the fact that the company I worked for then shared a fence with these company I was interviewing for and I had scaled all initial tests.

I was just staring at the interviewer with big round eyes..

Of course I was chased out (interviewer na white man and was impressed at first, but was unhappy when he found out it was all wash lol)

This was way back in 2009

Meeen cant forget that one. I dont know how I totally forgot everything I was supposed to say. I sounded like one big fúcking bumbling idiot. Couldnt string sentences. There was no reason to because the questions were simple enough.... my experiences. At one point the interviewers look at each other as if to say " na wa for this guy" . Till today I dont know how it happened. I knew I wouldnt get that job. Would have been surprised if I did

Then there was this other one I did in Lagos. I felt insulted by the people who were interviewing me. Some small boys with very inflated egos. I went for that interview more out politeness. After the 1st question I knew I didnt wa t to work there. I jist clammed up and refused to cooperate. Stared them down and assumed my most arrogant posture. I thinl I even laughed at one of them sef at the question he asked me. LOL

I had the same experience as your first story, it was KPMG, I had smashed all the test and it was just face to face interview, it went terribly, I was so nervous I thought I was going to faint. Surprisingly enough, they gave my second thoughts, while others were receiving acceptance or rejection emails, I did not see mine till much later. It was the worst experience ever. But the interviewers were nice.

They started asking me questions about my home to calm me down. It was humiliating, but I wish they understood that the only reason I got nervous was because of how much importance I put into getting into the company.

But I am actually really happy they did not give me a chance, else I won't be here today, I know what I have achieved now I would not have achieved in 20 years in KPMG

so her ability to work under pressure includes answering different questions at the same time
How can 2-3 persons be asking someone different questions the same time?

mehn it was a tough one.. gone through lots of interviews put in my best game and heard we will get back to yu. mehn at a point I was like just tell me whether you are employing me or not.. went for an interview like that.. the man blasted me about me having msc and all.. he started tell me that even he himself doesn't have that I should just remove msc from my cv.. today I work in a cool company where am appreciated.. the hustle is real fellas

My worst interview was when I went to do an interview in a company like that I was over confidence in that position. I apply for due to the work experience I had for that job. They only ask. Me a simple question.base on the position I apply for Everything vanish from my brain.imediately Because I was over confidence. In the job imediately after the interview I step out. My sense came back
I went home sad and crying after praying and keep applying for another job,after one month
God bless me with a well payed job

Me: Fine and Applied Arts
Interviewer : so you mean to tell me you wasted money to buy Jamb form just to study Fine arts
Me: it wasn't a waste and i don't regret ever studying FAA

Another interview that weak me was one I went for some years back.. After questions the man started preaching asking Bible verses.. omo I fall my hand.. i be like I didn't know I was coming bible study. lol

I went for an interview. My interviewer was a lady. She said tell me about yourself and was working on her system. By the time I was done, she said start all over. I didn't know whether to slap her. Only for me to find out she was not supposed to be the interviewer. She said we will get back to you.
