Texas is as hot as Lagos, and they have over 400 deaths and 17000 confirmed cases

It's too early to judge anything. As much as we need to go out, it won't be funny when shit hits the fan
2% mortality in Texas.
Do you really think all 400 died of covid?

Just like someone with HIV, and died of cardiovascular cause. And you write COD- HIV.
No autopsy at all.
C’mon guys. Ordinary malaria even has a higher mortality.

Oga!! Get your facts right, this is the second time you are making wrong comparisons. Texas winter months run till February extending to mid March and average temperatures isn't anywhere near what we have in naija at the moment angry

Another thing I'm considering about this mode of contraction of the virus. ABBA kyari was outside the country, he contracted the virus outside the country. When he got back, before developing any symptoms of the virus, he was with many delegates, the elites, so to say. They shook hands, talked, and the contact was close. We have not heard 60% of them contract the virus. How come they were not infected? Most of the people who died of this virus are returnees if you look into it well.

We need to study that mode of transmission. Same goes to Atiku's son

Noh mind them, even femi adeshina confessed to being in close contact with Abba kyari after just 2 days before he took I'll.

Why haven't they being falling ill too and possibly dieing?

I dont even know if its safe to go out if the lockdown is lifted.

Left to me, the government should do more for the citizens.Provide more palliatives and increase testing. But removing the lockdown is a disaster waiting to happen.

The government can not sustain this measure. The baised distribution will keep bringing up chaos.

I believe government should call off the lockdown... engage more enlightened resources to reach people via media, religious leaders, brand ambassadors on need to use face masks and hygiene to reduce the spread.

Local government health workers should be equipped and brought up to speed on need to control spread within the community, market places.

Every local govt should have a first responder unit within the community where education, enlightened and control of ppe resources to d community is done.

Note this virus will live with us for a long time to come... the Spanish flu went from 1918 - 1920 ...

So how many do you think died of Covid-19? 10? grin

Or the 150 people that mysteriously died and were buried in Kano in one week, any proof that they could have died of malaria?

Did you see how people of Ecuador are struggling to bury their loved ones?

You make this issue sound so mild, and I like it sha grin

Yes it is mild cos even RTA has killed more people in 4weeks than covid alone that has recovery rate of over 90%.
Self protection will be the way forward henceforth. Just like you wear condoms to prevent HIV, some don’t and still don’t contact it. It will be a personal choice.

That’s my opinion

A government that cannot not organize anything, will definitely fail to do this too

Well, the lockdown will be removed next week(hopefully)

God protect us all

And face masks will be enforced...

We know the govt which we find ourselves. Also waiting on them will increase the numbers (whether d numbers True or not).

Same thing they did with HIV, Malaria, and others that we became used to them and we can control them. WHO said the virus will be here for long, so we can't hide for long. We need to contain it by all means.

I wonder how HIV and AIDS would be like when it first came to Nigeria, just random thinking though. The enlightenment on HIV/AIDS and Malaria never stopped.
The same thing with COVID-19, the enlightenment should continue while we go back to our normal lives.

I can't predict the outcomes because of our Government negligence but I hope it will be positive. Staying indoor is not helping either.

But it’s still a mystery to me that dead bodies are not everywhere here in naija

I really fear for this face mask thingy cos bad guys can easily take advantage of using hidden faces to wreak havoc.

I can be out with 2 of my friends and we see a beautiful lady walking alone on a lonely road and decide to harrass her cos we know she can't identity us due to our masks also seeing 3 guys with masks should normally rouse suspicion but with the current trend people will generally loose guard until they come too close, then BOOM!! it would have been too late.

Even Eko bridge wey boys dey Rob cars even without masks, can't imagine really!!

They are not dying mainly due to covid. Did you run an autopsy to confirm it was not another health issue?
