The Almighty God will console you in Jesus name.
You shall give birth to nations.

Let's just believe there is a purpose why the Lord took him early.

My Dad: I still miss him, a peace loving and dedicated man. My Uncle killed him diabolically through a gift my Dad gave him. Yeah, he confessed. My Dad that was strong and drives himself, started shaking and down with fever all of a sudden. cry

He was sick for many years and died. When he died, I was struggling to finish amidst a myriad of carryovers in an institution so I wasn't there. I got a call and rushed home, see sympathizers everywhere, vex enter inside, go collect cry. cry

I still miss him. He once told me I could do better in my studies if I left plessing phone. How I wish I could tell him I later graduated from that school. cry

Lamanii22 abeg come and console me. sad

Omg! I'm really sorry about your dad Hun, I'm really glad you eventually graduated, he'd be proud of you.... I pray that you will fulfill your days on earth, you wouldn't die untimely, I pray that all your dreams shall come true... The would heal and mend your heart... Wa diru, wa digba(I don't know the English interpretation for that but it's a great prayer).... God bless you...

Have u ever lost someone so dear to u that causes tears to roll down ur eyes each time u remember him or her?

Mine was David.
David was my classmate in JS 1. The most handsome, and one of those brilliant students in my class. David was loved by everyone in the class because of his childish nd joyous attitude. Though initially those attitude created enmity among the two of us our frndship started the day he saved me from being flogged by our nasty maths teacher who gave me a maths problem that I couldn't solve. Since that day we became great frnds nd we were always seen sitting next to each other in class nd working together during compound work. Our frndship was so serious that some teachers thought we were siblings. David was brilliant, selfless, handsome nd childish nd I loved him like a brother. In summary, David died the same week our exams was about starting. He was hit by a reckless lorry driver on his way to his dad's provisions shop. He died on the spot nd rumour has it that b4 he gave up the ghost he muttered the following words, "my dream of becoming a doctor has ended". And since then av always wanted to become a doctor 4 David but the Nigerian factor destroyed that dream. Till today I still remember my brilliant nd selfless frnd whose bright future was cut short by a drunk driver.

Pls I'm sorry 4 the long post nd some of the errors you'll notice. David died exactly on the 25th of April, that's why I brought up this topic. Pls share ur own.
My immediate elder sister dead on d 4th of Jan 2018. her death caused a trauma 2 all d siblings heart. A hard working, Pretty, loved, Jovial, friendly, accommodating & most especially God fearing lady died, so painful! What almost caused a psychology problem was dat she died within 2days of no record of illness b4, but due 2 d nonchalant, greediness, selfish & wickedness altitude of her husband. I lived wit dem in a 3bedroom flat, we were so closed. she loved me unconditionally & I reciprocated d love. Maybe coz we fought a lot wen we were young wit our parents but got closed wit mutual understanding wen we grew up. I was with my Sister on d 1st of Jan 2018, we both had d agreement 2 go 2 our home town 2 rest 4 like a week after d stress of DEC/Jan hard work. I left her on d 2nd of Jan 2 our hometown with d expectation dat she was also coming home but unfortunately I received d call of her husband immediately I got hom dat ngt dat my sister was admitted in2 a hospital, I immediately took my leave dat same day back 2 d hospital she was. in a nut shell, my sister died d 3rd day she was admitted. Confusion set in, I can't realised my sister was gone until a week after her departure. I couldn't find her b4 I realized it was true I lost my sister. hmmm! I crys almost everyday I remember her & pray 4 her. She left behind 2kids (females). My parents haven't regain their strength ever since. I love my sister, I love her kids.
I'm happy I could share diz story wit my fellow nairalanders. I can feel d lost of sum pressure within me. I shall right a story abt my sister in d near future. Hmm! my sister left a letter behind 4 me & I av it in my domain. Thks 4 reading my long story.

Now this is very apt. I lost my mum to cancer on the 15th of March ‘18 a day before my birthday.

Couple days ago I made a fb post that says: 2 years, 1 month and 7 days after, it still hurts, we still cry. So yes some of us have.

My mum, she died February 8th 2013. I still miss her. Then I was trying to conceive. Waited for years. Finally had my baby last year. Few days before I delivered, I dreamt and she gave me some pieces of advice.

Few days ago, on my daughter's birthday I saw her again in my sleep and this time she was looking better and very happy.

I dont know if reincarnation is real, if it is then I gave birth to my MUM
She's happy wherever she is.

Cry no more.

Yes, I don’t think I’ll ever get over it even if I get to a hundred years!

I think about her for even a minute and I become teary. With each milestone, with each challenging time, I think about how she would have been here with me...

I miss you mum! Forever! 6 years this month.

Tayo, a eleven years boy full of life didn't die but left home and didn't come back since December 26, 2006. Whenever I look at my mum, I wonder where she had got that courage to move on.

That single incident change my perspective all together till date.

The day I lost my dad. I didn't cry much because I was trying to console everyone else. From then on I felt numb, till I saw him being interred. Person wey dey Hale and hearty just 3 weeks earlier. I cried and cried uncontrollably. Thought of leaving him there forever to the worms killed me. I just wasn't prepared for life without a father. I still find it hard speaking about him without shedding tears.

If your husband comes begging with repentant heart please receive him back wholeheartedly, don't stop praying for him either, so that you can save both you and him for eternal final home in Christ.
I am saved, I don't know about him. There is no going back to Egypt. I have moved on and God has been super faithful. So no, I won't receive him back, I have forgiven and forgotten. I wish him well from the bottom of my heart

Mom.

In the middle of January, while she laboured on the highway to see me and little sis through medical and pharmacy colleges, respectively.
Didn't even get to reap a single fruit of her hard labours.
What I feel for over 3 months now is unexplainable, really. The last person I thought would leave anytime soon. The person I've always wanted to make proud & offer her a good, better life in the nearest future.
And I never got a chance to tell you that I love you. A lot, mom.
Rest on in His bosom, sweet Mom.

This thread bring me fresh memories. I lost my fiancée’s mom on the 6th of May in 2018. She spoke with me on phone 5 days to her death, and prayed for me as usual. Little did I know that would be the last time I’d hear from her. It still baffles me till date cause she was not sick prior to her death. She was so kind, loving, sweet and strong. I wished she waited more to enjoy the rewards of her labor on her children. I know she’s in a better place now. Keep resting in the bosom of our dear lord Evangelist Ayodele, I miss you so much.

Another big blow is the death of my big aunty, my Mom’s elder sister who died on the 23rd of February this year. We spoke last in Dec 2019, I miss how she calls me ‘Ayetty mama’ whenever we talk. It’s so painful that she won’t be there to rejoice with me on my big day. Keep resting in the Lord Mommy Abosede Victoria.

It’s a very very painful thing to lose a loved one, words can’t quantify the depth of such loss. It’s my prayer that we all outlive our parents and also live a fulfilling life, amen.

My chemistry/physics/further-mathematics teacher(Mr Voice). Made me to believe that I can become anything I want to be, and know anything I want to know. I can still remember his words "if anybody has the same number of brain cells as you, has achieve something worthwhile, then there is nothing stopping you from doing same". I missed him a lot. Hope to immortalise him someday.

Yes. Mine was our principal in high school. I was a very stubborn boy then and also a truant.I even had my cliq of truants and naughty students. One day,I broke into the Exams office to steal exam papers for me and my guys(like we always do without getting caught) not knowing that the principal laid a trap for us there.Luckily for them and unluckily for me, I was caught. I stood dumbfounded, staring at him for minutes. He asked me to sit and told me how closely he has been watching me for long. He said he wont punish me or tell my parents if i give up my bad life and cliq. Well, that was the start of our friendship. He was an Anglican Canon, married with no male child. He took me as his son and errand boy, even became friends with my Dad. He was the reason why i can read and comprehend, passed my WAEC,NECO&JAMB and got Uni admission. He was my mentor, friend, inspiration&spiritual director. He died just before my matric after a long battle with cancer.I still see him when i close my eyes I MISS U Ven.Canon Dennis.
