The restriction has one unstated condition. It will take effect on Monday so long as the daily new cases reduce or remain in the same range. The one week extension is simply a ploy to compare the stats and calm the nerves of those who are eager to "go out". It is too early to rejoice. If average daily cases in Lagos, for example, escalate before Monday, the lockdown will remain the same.

What if he has more than enough funds in his bank account as a result of saving plus investments that yielded more funds for saving and continuous investments

I'm not defending the lockdown, but not everybody is so broke that one month lockdown would affect them financially, lockdown definitely affected me financially plus I've lost at least 1m cos of lockdown which can't be gotten back except God triple my future income

I probably have less than 5k spendable money so if the lockdown isn't lifted, I'm in deep shit

I think this old man called Buhari doesn't know what he is doing. He doesn't understand what people are going through. Just because he and his family are having their three square meal a day, he thinks others are doing the same. He is a confuse man. What is the need of lifting a lockdown ban on the fourth of may? Why not now?

Governor Ikpeazu has imposed a week long curfew in Abia State during this time of unrest in the country.

The Curfew starts 6pm and ends 6am

I'm suspecting that Gov. Ikpeazu works with President Buhari

God bless President Buhari,
God bless Governor Ikpeazu,
God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.
I guess that was their decision in the governors forum cos Fayemi just announced same now and after the one week extension, movements are only allowed on Mon, Wed and Fridays

U guys should keep quiet, Oyo has not been on lockdown since day 1, and the cases has not skyrocketed because of that
don't compare ibadan to Lagos. Lagosians are many and they are not organised. The population in Lagos will trigger the increase. Hardly will u see 10pple living in a room in ibadan compare to Lagos.

Lagos cannot function with 8lm to 6am curfew, and with office restriction of 9am to 6pm. It is not possible.

He didn't mention any actually. However, I'm certain the one week extension is a ploy to "buy more time".

Who needs another week to lift a two weeks lockdown?? Lol. If daily new cases in Lagos rise to 100-200 for the rest of the week, the lockdown will remain the same till end of...Ramadan probably grin

He has ku ku said only selected businesses will resume on Monday. Las las, Buhari will select, Hospitals, Chemist, Pharmacies and Food...so promised fulfilled cheesy cheesy cheesy

I must confess, whoever advised Buhari on this is super intelligent. They've successfully calm our nerves without lifting the lockdown. grin

WHO has warned against the hurried reversal of lockdown.
Wuhan that's far better in all ramifications was on lockdown for more than 8 weeks.
Even at that, some streets at Wuhan are still empty as of yesterday.
