Thanks bosses for your input. I guess I would have read more before I make any purchases. Hopefully before the next allowee comes i would have learnt one or two things that would help me in this journey.

I believe people should have an open mind and equal perspective about GEOS and brandables when starting out. It may be wrong to nudge newbies towards GEOS just based on OUR own personal challenges with brandables.

Let the advice be that both waters should be tested, in order for one to find what comes naturally to him. It may be Geo, brandables, or both.

You are correct to an extent, however if his capital base is limited, he is better off starting off with geo, making sales and then diving off into brandables which requires more patience for results. To each his own ultimately.

To add to this, best GEOS are GEOS with quality backlinks, domain authorities, page authorities, Google rankings, seo presence, age of domains, how many times it has dropped etc.

Having more end users is good but having quality Geo domains is heavenly. Quality domains makes your outbound easier and you having more confident and bargaining power.

A quality Geo will tell you if the domain was previously used for that purpose if you check its ACR and BL. Let's say I saw Austinroofing and it was previously used for roofing activities in Austin, that's a huge added advantage. Some end users check these things without us knowing. Some will just hit the BIN without negotiating with you. Bad ones sells but at times it won't sell even if you have 10000 end users so also quality ones but rare.

Quality domains makes your sales letter juicy as you can confidently display in your sales letter that end users can build authority in the domain, the domain is well searched, use it for backlinks purposes, redirect it to your main site or existing/current site and local dominance or authority. Most of us put all these when we know that our domains are not well searched and no online presence.

But in brandable industry anything is possible. If you cannot risk $8 to register a domain, you don't deserve $1k that will come from selling it.

So after outbounding and followups with no replies, finally decided to go through the fb route..messaged alot of endusers,the only one that showed interest was the one without a website(was even reluctant to send to him at first),so he asked me the ROI if he buys the domain and how it will make dem more money lol..i sha explained sha..he asked the price and i quoted $650 and then asked me to show him the website on the domain name..told him he will have to build his own website and showed him some examples of a truck website..


He stopped replying after that.followed up after a week and he said he couldn't afford such a price during this period so i told him to quote his best offer, he quoted $200 , we sha negotiated to $300, after accepting, he then told me he was just a media personel that i will need to call his boss and explain to him and if its check i want or bank transfer..i was like which kind wahala be this now, so i told him to help me tell his boss that i can't go through the stress of explaining again via phone call and also explained the process of buying to him..He agreed ,only for the boss to go and click on "contact domain owner" on my sales page and wrote there that i should call him...even God knows i can't call him lol.


So i headed back to my media guy and told him his oga made a mistake and clicked somewhere else instead of 'buy now' that he should put him through,he didn't read the message until 3 days later..he read and apologised and domain was sold few minutes later...the guy tried for me sha..

Sorry for the Epistle...just like explaining my sales.
