Under the Rapid Facility. Many countries got it from IMF and World Banks.

I don't think there are conditions attached to that loan.

Well said!
Guess you referred to me here as well.
Well, i noticed that you people stopped replying enquiries here.
The experts are nowhere to be found, they thus resorted to asking the person available.
I think you people should come back!
When they ask, you can always answer them professionally and give more direction when one person err or is going off lane.
Keeping silent and ignoring them cos they're new to the system is not too good as far as I'm concerned. You guys started from somewhere too. No need to wait to condemn someone else's good intention.
This is my view of the situation of things here. grin
I like this mature response. God bless you.

Can we stop engaging Vecovee,pls.

He is an extremist and fanatic. He has been told over and over again to stop posting his religious link and preachings here but he won't listen. He has always found ways to insert the bible quotations into his exchange, in a bid to elicit debate. He is not better than Shekau.

Tomorrow, he will rinse and repeat the same process. Let's pay him no mind when he starts.

He will go out and testify about his exploits on this thread to his followers and religious clan in a bid to harden them some more. If you have been a member of certain religious groups, you will understand who Vecovee is and their MO.

Pa Emma, Mcy and other senior colleagues, please can you give me contrary opinion to the attached projection.

The focus is majorly on dividend plough back. The end result might be different but is it worth trying?

A spread sheet may have made this clearer.

As a rule of thumb, a simple well thought out investment strategy followed to the letter is always valuable. But you need discipline to be able to shut other investment options that may come up during that period. You need discipline to ignore the sometimes wild price fluctuations. You need to place a value to those shares so that within that 5 years once price exceeds value you consider option of selling or holding on to your strategy. Also be aware that one or two of these stocks will disappoint in a bad way during the 5 years. Those are the simple facts of investing.

As an academic exercise it may be okay but i don't understand the calculations that's why i said s spread sheet may be better.

Also look at this strategy from the point of Holding Period Returns over 3 to 5 years.

I can't see your starting principal in the summation.

Use a spreadsheet.

Thanks for your sincere advice. Please which better mixture of stocks would you recommend as I see 1 stock as too risky in this volatile market.
Thanks sir.

You are buying #10,000 worth of shares for each stock monthly, the problem is that the cost of these share will vary widely over the 5 years. You also assumed dividends to remain constant every year. Eg 10k may buy 100 shares this month, while the next it may buy as few as 30.

There is no telling what your portfolio will finally look like.

You are on point sir. I like your reasoning. I will make a spreadsheet. I only used an app to work on the compound interest first and see if it will be viable.

Of a truth, some of the stocks might disappoint especially as the world is looking for alternative for oil. I will work on it more as you suggested and embark on it on behalf of my little son.

How do you suggest I amend it sir. Surely there will be variance as share price won't remain same and dividend might go down. I'll appreciate if you can just help me fashion a better permutation.

Bros abeg, you have to save me ni oooo... I started reading but I got tired. Will o need to fill the e-dividend for every bank I buy shares or it's just once.

And you want to make money at the bolded? You had better develop a strong and dedicated reading habit if you want to survive in investing generally.

Yes, you have to fill e-dividend forms for every company's shares that you buy from your stockbroker. The register of all shareholders in every company is kept, updated and maintained by other companies called Registrars who are mandated to do so by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Most registrars maintain the shareholding books for multiple companies as their clients e.g First Registrars is the registrar for First bank (FBNH), Fidelity Bank, Oando etc. So assuming you owned shares in both First Bank and Fidelity Bank, you simply complete one e-dividend form with all the companies listed under First Registrars and then tick the boxes beside the companies in which you own shares in. Then either submit directly to the registrar at their office or through your bank to upload. Same way African Prudential Registrars (Afriprud) is the registrar for UBA, UCAP, AFRIPRUD, AFRILAND, TRANSCORP etc

@Bigjay don throw line give one member here na. 0% for 36 months. And he said timing is the key. grin grin

I don't like the way Dow is rising. It is going too fast. It needs to range around 23,000 to 23,700. So some traders may take profit and keep it within range for a while.

Just stay relaxed and watch as prices will rise. Breakout suppose happen for NSE.

The coronavirus issue is now behind us. We are now looking at how we will go out and start dining out and going on vacations.

For now, airliners, tourism, hospitality sector will still be affected because there is fear to travel. There will be reduction in earnings from these sectors because spacing will reduce the number of people that can stay in a space at any given time.

Energy/fuel usage should increase because instead of people ride-sharing, they will prefer to travel alone. Because they don't know who has the virus or not.

Interesting times ahead.

The 0% Apr for 36 months not bad ...like u said timing is the Key .but what do u think about the devaluation as per Nse to deliver /breakeven the funds exchanged ...Will keep watching Nse

What do you think about .Airliners ,[Sw ,Delta etc ] ..Hospitality /Tourism [Disney etc ] ,..N cruise etc ..on long term cos they re reslly battered at the moment

I think profit taking will set in soon

Lots of assumptions in your attachment.

Stock Prices change and they do do wildly. Between January 2020 till Mid March 2020, prices declined by over 50% max. Between that mid March till date, prices have gained around 40% max. Very short period!

So you can get wiped very fast. And gain very fast.

If you are new to stock, just stick to maximum of 2 companies. If you want to invest on dividends, read about dividend yields. You mixed high dividend yield (DY) stocks with some low DY stocks.

As a preacher he calls himself he should show high degree of tolerance to people's way of life. You don't denigrate others just to prove that you are the superior Christian.

The Indians, Chinese, Nepalese, Arabs, amazonians, Europeans etc have their ways of living or worship. We should not say our religion is better than theirs. When you see them do their thing, just smile and allow them.

This life is very simple but some people make it complicated.
