this shows that the earth isnt some 6000 years old as the Bible said.. the days counted in Genesis 1 were millions of years apart. each day as been said in that chapter were millions of years.. even before human came about. these gigantic creatures were all on the earth.. Dinosaurs, Reptiles and extinct animals..
my geological knowledge let me know that each layer of soil is deposited on one another is time.. so when scientists come about with 100 million years. they are looking at many factors. the fossilized matter, the soil around its source etc. I know and can confirm that there are many of those creatures( fossils) buried in sands of time.. but their discovery is not feasible due to conditions..

when Animal like dinosaurs die, their body decompose but their bones turned into sedimentary rock, bones take a lot more time to decompose, before the bones start decomposing, mud, sand, clay and other things will sediment on it, these bones form sedimentary rocks underneath the earth and thanks to carbon and it's binding power, it will be difficult to loose it's grip and such bones could last millions of years without decomposing.
what archaeologists see today is a bone that has formed sedimentary rocks after millions of been buried under-earth , it's not just that white chitinous thing you know, this is the same with Diamond which is the strongest metal on earth, they are buried by sediments and are not altered. I swear it's quite hard trying to educate people that think scientists are out to deceive them. How do you sit in you couch discrediting years of research because your peanut-size brain cannot fathom or because you feel it contradicts your religious beliefs. Air plays a crucial part in decomposing organic matters, when bones are buried, Air is limited underneath the earth, Below 2m in the earth surface, there is almost no air and u hardly find living organisms below 2m,when there is no air, Decomposition can be fvcking slow and bones will not easily decompose

Well, don't waste your time son. One quick fact is, the Bible isn't a Scientific book or meant for such purpose, although I agree it shouldn't contradict reality; all the same, no one existed then to know how things were or how they work, we only use imagination and some factors to know about times we didn't exist in, so our judgment is handicapped.
Secondly, you can't get detailed scientific fact in the Bible, and the little things you get are not so organized/chronological and they are presented in crude layman way. Especially, this is because the essence of these things are for spiritual purposes not scientific.

* About sun/plant, there have already been lights initially denoting day and night before another lights were mentioned later.
* Bible only listed few things created, so how 99% of things existing were created wasn't mentioned nor number of days used in creating them.
* Yea, the moon is a light (although reflected).
Common, things are written in layman terms. So, you were expecting the Bible to start telling you how Sun is the real source of light and how the moon would be reflecting light to the earth? Don't be a joker.
In general terms, we call it moonlight. Only expect to here something different when you get to your science labs.
