You're right. They go through alot of things as a child like family instability , abusive parents or stories on how they got raped by their uncles. I've been told a lot of stories and I think it affected them mentally.

I won't be surprised if your friend isn't the owner of the kid.

I can't doubt this ...I have a a person really close to me who went through this system to secure his card. He got it after 6years with this mother of 5 with 3 different dads.
I can only say enjoyed little moments of his marriage and he expected that. He had to reduce his ego and became a complete mugu. His unconditional card shouldn't have taken that long according to him though, but it's because the wife was benefiting housing and some other provisions from the government (they lived together in a government housing project)
He faced several challenging times that I can't type here....all because man must escape Nigeria, and he considers the price was worth it.
