People who claim they don't have money, people who have been shouting 'wetin we go chop' yen yen yen are crowded in front of a bank. What exactly are they going to the bank to do if not deposit ,transfer or collect money.

Some Idi.ots will be there just to check account balance and give some useless complaints that can be resolved online. Our leaders are useless but a lot Nigerians too are just like their useless leaders.

Just imagine! Even with the high rate of Coronavirus cases in their state.

Truth is; Lagos is arguably the state with the most insane, ignorant and careless people in the world. When it comes to civility, comportment and courteousness, 90% of Lagosians cannot cope in sane and calm cities like Abuja, PH, Owerri, Asaba and some Northern cities.

Very anyhow set of rascal people quick to form porsh hiding under the slogan "I dey Lag".

Smh! To an extent, people living in Onitsha and Aba are way more civilized, careful and comported than them when it comes to security and health.

Lagos is an over hyped slum!!! An embarrassment to mega cities across the globe!!!

This is not even subject for arguments!!!

Do Nigerians actually put into consideration what social distancing is? People have been trapped indoors and were not able to go out, some with no money and food. Cost of transportation will be quite higher due to limited number of people expected in commercial transport. BRT stands will be jam-packed. That's why I personally decided not to go out. Or What do you expect?

The government that has refused to provide palliatives should be blamed for this problem. We are all still meant to stay in our houses.

No money and food but many of them are queuing up in front of banks. Are banks giving out free money? Abi den just wan go do excursion for bank.

Wasn't it Abuja where people were stealing rice from a loaded truck? Wasn't it Kano where hundreds of people gathered to touch a corpse? You talk as if everyone in Lagos has the place as their village.

I'm not excusing this behaviour but you're deceiving yourself if this is just a 'Lagos' behaviour.

For those of us who do not get the memo, the only way social distancing will work in Nigeria is for the country to shutdown. 60 years of not building infrastructure and developing alternative transportation systems have made it such that there is only one medium. The state has also refused harmonize and sanitize the road transportation system. Bad road networks have also compounded the issues.

Add that to the population explosion occasioned by urban migration as a result of a refusal of the federal government to develop other regions, u have a city that was built and made to be very impossible for social distancing.

It will not and not going to work. People will resume activities and isolate as they can. Herd immunity will solve our problems or
people will drop dead and die in millions. The world will move on effectively. It has seen worse deaths before.

Laziness will only kill you. People in villages are hardworking that's why they remain strong in old age. Which money will govt use for other necessary things while spending on feeding you and your kind through palliatives?

Multiple reports from social media show the situation of Lagos this morning, no safe distancing, no face masks at Ikorodu BRT terminal and a branch of GTBank.

Orisesan Oladimeji A.O. @TAGOREMMY shared a video from GTB Lagos branch and wrote

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhnE_TYoOn8

"Good morning lagos has anyone been to gtb this morning #MaskUpLagos #NCDC danfo #COVIDー19 #AmericaVsNigeria"

Another Twitter user, ᴏᴍᴏᴋᴇʜɪɴᴅᴇ @omokehinde shared photo of what Ikorodu BRT terminal looks like this morning.

"BRT Bus terminal, Ikorodu Lagos.
We are lions! We are war! We are Indhabosky!
Corona, who you? Who form you?"

When I said on the other thread that blacks are babarians and no social distancing will be observed, u MODs hid my comment.

By the way, why picking out gtbank when it is the same across all banks right now.....all banks have serious crowd outside... you are a media person, it is an unfair journalism to pick out a brand name in the midst of this

My useless neighbor, complaining of lack of money held a party just yesterday flaunting all social distancing rules. This is someone that has been locked down for a month, yet all rules on spread of covid 19 was discarded so what is the essence of lockdown? for people to hold parties in their houses while government and employers stupidly pay them to sit at home?

Except that picture is old, those people gathered there are a very irresponsible set of people.

I know they would have to cluster to get vehicles, but they should at least try to protect themselves. A simple face mask made by the famous Obioma is been hawked at N100. If everybody in that bus terminal has one on, while wearing long sleeve clothes, trousers, and cover shoes [ or socks if u no get shoe] would go a long way to reduce spread in a place like that but No.

They would rather stick with the belief that "i'll be alright" even when the whole world is going down. "God will protect me and my own". as a result, many fail to take responsibility for anything.

Sample the opinion of those clustered in the bus terminal, and you will hear them tell you "God Forbid" "Corona is not for me" "na rich man sickness" etc.

We are at war. if you are going out, put on an "Armour" because social distancing would be very difficult to achieve, and we no kukuma get government so very soon there wont be beds in the isolation centers.

We are largely on our own so protect urself.

You can't force people to be sensible, especially Nigerians...

Let the smart survive!!!

Very ignorant and perverse, but not as ignorant and perverse as citizens of some other nations...

It is understandable to have majority of a nation's citizens ignorant, but it is highly unacceptable to have leaders equally ignorant, greedy, corrupt, and clueless!!!

The latter is what makes Nigeria's case deplorably and revoltingly pathetic!!!
