Nice write-up you had there. straight to the point.

Thanks for throwing your weight behind the post. That was the message I intended to pass, I just didn’t convey the thoughts well enough.
That said, your analogy was succinctly written.

Done.

Next is to break 10K and head towards 13K.

10K has switched from resistance to support.
Okay, let's allow time tell the whole story.

Another awesome point. Yes, don't get emotionally attached to a stock. But if it's the only stock in your portfolio, then it's only human to get emotionally attached to it. Another reason to diversify! Regarding averaging down, I guess it depends on how it's done. If done properly, you'll come out victorious.

For example: I first bought Nestle at N913, then it went down to N750. I bought, even much more than my initial holdings, then I sold everything last Thursday at N970(intraday). Sweet gain! Other examples are GTB, Zenith, Cadbury. Thanks to proper averaging down, they are all now selling well above my break-even prices despite high initial purchase cost. Even Warren Buffett averaged down on Delta airlines before selling all his airline stocks. He might not admit it but when you check his moves in March and thereafter, what he did will become clearer.
To me nestle seems to be warming up,it even got to 990 at a point,so why 970, so what did you use the proceeds to buy,or you're holding cash. You actually bought nestle right ,so i guess you should be holding tight0

Very true. It's just that I plan every trade before I make a ''buy'' decision. The moment I achieve what I set out to accomplish, I pull the trigger even if the chart says otherwise. My proceed is in my trading account waiting for another inevitable opportunity so I can increase my long term holdings. Moreover, I don't practise sell one to buy another. It's just that Nestle does not belong to my long term portfolio holdings yet. I make sure I fund my trading account every month by paying myself first so that I can swiftly swing to action when stocks on my list go on sale.

Watch your investments closely, else you will discover Warren Buffet is a JIJO specialist too late.

It is unwise to follow others very far into the journey before asking where they are going.

If your stock delivers twins, as some stocks may do before December 2020, don't attempt to get the same stock pregnant again during the baby nursing period. Let it heal in peace... cheesy
Funny,,,

But no matter how far you have gone on a pearl of wrong road wisdom determines you turn and take the right route.

Exactly! For instance, Zenith will still be a great destination at 23pm, but most people here already broke into the rich valley of the kings at about 11am. They won't wait to welcome security reinforcement teams after 23pm.
Same situation elsewhere.

The valley will remain that of the kings, but the full glory of the valley will by then become a matter of Goodwill.

The early scavengers will be dealing in tangibles then, the late comers will now be left to kill new kings inorder to transmogrify intangibility to tangibility, a task better left to the gods ......or depart the looted valley in shame. grin grin grin

Every dawn is preceded by a thick darkness grin

Access: doesnt seems its going to fall as may be expected. We wait to see what will happen by COB.
Dangcem, Nestle: Waiting for moneybag to move their ministry forward.

That's my major problem with UBA. It always mirrors Access Bank as if it is a crime to overtake Access.

Well, I feel understanding the reason behind the fall is more important than the fall in price itself. For now, I am completely avoiding anything in the brewery sector but wouldn't mind to join you if Guinness drops to N5. At that price, it'll be a no-brainer for me. Just type ''Guinness'' in the search box and read some recent interesting discussion regarding NB and Guinness.

Nice observation. You are an experienced grave digger. Have you seen the Q3 results? You may need to go and look at it again. EPS 62K
