Report came out March 2014, elections were Feb 2015. Should he have implemented so soon to an election? That would be like setting the next administration up and himself as well.

I have no need to lie and i don't care what your link says. The Oronsaye report itself has March 2014 as it's date. Please read a copy of the report itself and not get information from regurgitated sources.

You are still lying. The report itself was submitted 16 April 2012. Jonathan then inaugurated another committee to bring out a white paper. It was the white paper that was submitted on the 7th April 2014.

The Federal Government yesterday released a white paper on the Steve Oronsaye committee report on the Restructuring and Rationalization of Federal Government Parastatals and Commissions.

The report was submitted two years ago, with far reaching recommendations on the scrapping and merging of many government agencies, parastatals and commission.

I the white paper, some of the committee’s recommendations were accepted but a whole lot were rejected as well.

For instance, the FG in the white paper submitted by attorney – general Mohammed Adoke, accepted the scrapping of the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) but rejected the call for government to stop the funding of religious pilgrimages.

The Nation newspaper says:

The document dated March, 2014 with 105 pages showed where the government accepted and rejected various recommendations on the scrapping, merger of 270 government agencies. Some of the agencies have been approved for commercialisation and privatization.

The Oronsaye report was submitted to government on 16th of April, 2012.

The presidency would have to send a bill to the NASS the repeal of the relevant laws that set up those agencies

It was silly of the Jonathan government to have rejected the provision that called for the scrapping of government funding of pilgrimages.

You have made my point for me. White paper was submitted April 2014, so what is the argument? He didn't have the political will to implement it between April and Feb that was the election.
