2Ballz:

Before the first spotting, did you experience any release of waterlike substance from your vagina?

Was the uterine cervix examined?

Do you observe if this cramping is increasing in strength?

Do you find it that most signs and symptoms of pregnancy individual to you has decreased ?
Thank you for your response.
I didn’t notice release of any water like substance.
No examination was done. I was just told to go n be on bed rest.
The cramping has reduced. I only feel it once in a while.
I’m not really having any sign other than bloating/constipation and tender breast and I’m still feeling them.

Alright, you are getting better. At this point, reduce exercise activities and less stressful activities. You may stay off sex for some weeks too. Remain positive and always eat nicely prepared food.

Yes,you can.Although not necessary if the cramping has reduced and the bleeding has stopped with your normal pregnancy signs/symoptoms intact . The need for the scan may just become necessary if the following is common with you:
1) Excessive brownish discharge
2) Cramp starry and become severe
3) Dizziness
4) Loss of normal excitement, a feeling of being sad(not Depression)
5) Feeling too light on the body.

All the best.

Please I really need some help....
I was tested positive 3weeks ago, but just day before yesterday, I noticed some spotting, had to go to the hospital. I had a scan and I was told my baby is not growing, it was still the same as three weeks ago. I was given two injections and some drugs to be taken. But unfortunately immediately I got home, there was this serious abdominal pain, very painful. After some hours, there was this big clot of blood that came out, a little bit whitish and bloody and immediately I felt relieved. Have been okay since then, just little cramps and no more blood. Went back to the hospital this morning and I was told it's threatening miscarriage and they can't carry out any test now until after two weeks.
Please I hope my baby is fine, someone should please share some experience because I'm really depressed right now. I need help please.

Bolaopeyemi:
Hi doc, well done and thanks for giving this kind of chance. Have been trying to conceive for the past 6months but around February I noticed milk discharge from my breasts, had to see my doctor. I was told it was hormonal imbalance which also leads to infertility, a drug called bromocriptine was prescribed for me and I started using it. March 16th, I was supposed to see my period but nothing showed up, had to do urine pregnancy test which was positive. I was at the hospital two weeks ago to confirm, the blood test was also positive.
My question now is, how to I calculate my EDD.
Should it be from the first of February period or the march own that didn't show up, and when am I supposed to start antenatal. Thanks

Good morning Doc,

Trust this meets you well.

I have been married for 13months now without conceiving. I had concerns when i had not conceived by the 4th month into marriage and went to see a Doctor. But i was dismissed and told infertility concerns can only be raised when the marriage is a year old. Long story short, i went back to the hospital one year after my marriage and they signed i and my husband up for some tests. I carried out HSG while he carried out SFA + Culture.

Our results said we were okay. His sperm count was over 55% and my tubes were okay from the HSG result. Before this i had carried out a scan that showed my reproductive system was fine. My Doctor also ruled out Hormonal imbalance as my period has been very regular. Question is, why am i still yet to conceive? I have sex during my fertile days and every other day. At this point I'm willing to explore any other tests to confirm if my reproductive system is truly fine, or take whatever medications can be prescribed.

Any advice for me please?

Good morning doc, I'm so glad I stumbled on this thread because I've been worried about my health, esp as I can't really afford to go for a scan right now. I don't really recall my LMP because previously I'd been on preventive injection which after stopping it since August last year, my menstrual flow dates got somewhat messed up. Nevertheless, I estimated my pregnancy to be roughly nine weeks as at last week; but around Thursday or Friday I began seeing slight bleeding with zero pain. Asked around and was told it's pretty normal, but last night before going to bed, I noticed some clots in the blood. Wore a pad just in case, but up till now no discharge again. Thing is, I think, I'm not really sure, but my nausea hasn't been as overpowering as it was before the bleeding, and I no longer feel lethargic/sleepy during the daytime, also the extra sensitivity to smells has reduced...in my first pregnancy all those symptoms did reduce as my pregnancy progressed but with this bleeding, I'm at a loss. My mind tells me it's nothing mostly because I feel no pain whatsoever, even my husband constantly reminds me not to worry since they said it's normal... what do you think is going on in my body, Doc? I'm really worried. Thank you for your time.

It could have been days gone before passing a reply to this post, what is the present situation on ground now?
Some bleeding are unexplainable and yet normal in pregnancy, some could be a little placenta Abruptio that will not lead to anything but with a disturbing vaginal spotting here and there. During this situation, just learn to have a good bed rest with no serious activity to do. Sex may also be avoided until the bleeding has settles itself out. Remain on your Pregnancy vitamins and remain positive about being pregnant.

1) No units attached to hormone concentration?
2) No reference range attached to concentrations?
3) Were all hormones assayed at that CD 10?
4) Your cycle length?

Good day doctor ,earlier my girlfriend had issues with her period after taking postonor once due to her body being sensitive to the hormone surge, and didn't get her period skipping a month, she was later tested for pregnancy and it came out negative and was prescribed some drugs to correct her hormones by the pharmacist which allowed her see her period 2days after the dosage was finsihed.. But now she hasn't seen her next period.. And it's almost a full week late now.. I'd like to get your advice on what you think could be the problem, btw she is on B6 and B12 vitamin drugs.. She felt premenstrual symptom like breakouts and got a bit nauseous but could be the side effect of the pills And also has white vaginal discharge which has according to her a normal scent
NB: there has been no sexual interaction between her last period and now

I was later told it's because she wasn't prescribed antibiotics along with the hormone correction drugs, and if she does take them she'll get her period(prescribed are ciproflaxin and Fluconazol) ..please sir I want to confirm if the information is accurate?

Good morning madam. Before I go into analysing your results, I would advise you to not run assay for all hormones again in the CD10. Conventional CDs on use is to have a wide frame knowledge of the whole menstrual cycle in a small picture. Running the hormones all in one phase can't tell you what is happening in the other phases of the cycle.

CD10, with respect your cycle length is in the Follicular or proliferative phase. Thus, I will analyse this assay done in that phase.
At CD10, with just 4-5days more to your assumed day of ovulation your FSH should be at least be higher than that. There are chances that as the cycle goes on, it may or may not increase at all. Now, getting to hold your LH closer to it, you will observe that your LH is a way higher compare to it. If your LH goes in this rate, it will only mean a follicle will fail on domancy before ovulation. This eventually will leave it out as a Follicular cyst confirming a high LH:FSH ratio. I would likely predict ovulation didn't happen for this cycle.
Moving down to your Prolactin, I will see further a reason for this hormonal distortion which seemed to incline in the presence of a high LH:FSH ratio. This could be associative or causative. It depends on the cause. Associative in the sense of PCOS or CUSHING'S syndrome and causative as HYPERPROLACTINEMIA.
It is expected that Estradiol does not change that much as its concentration is much likely going to be in the CD10 being a bit closed to your assumed ovulatory phase.
Better appreciation for the Progesterone would have been if it were done in the ovulatory or luteal phase. But on prediction with all I have explained, it is likely your progesterone may not be too high in your luteal phase. This may mean, your cycle went through with no ovulation.

Kindly, let me tell you not to feel bad about your loss. It happens sometimes and you will gather up energy to move on. That is what being living makes life unique.
Alright. Remain positive about pregnancy. This period, let your body and soul relax. Don't be spurned into sex by the mere urge to start pregnancy again soon after a loss, it cause to be depress when it is not showing up. Hey! eat fruits, eat vegetables and drink plenty food. It is no problem to start using some helpful supplements, if you choose to, get started with Fertilaid and jam it up with Vitamins such as B6,B12,Folic acids and C. Keep records of your bleeding days, learn to analyze your ovulation and if it's comfortable by you, enjoy the whole lockdown doing sex.

It is expected that your period should trip low after a fibroid removal. In the process of the mass removing, there are also chances that the uterine lining can't be damaged. This little damage on healing may turn fibrous affecting shedding of the lining. This is itself normal. Provided that every other thing is normal, your bleeding will in time go normal.
