Looooool.
You must assume we're still in the age where we're running about in animal skins.
Nigerian government oppressing her citizens is a different ball game from the Nigerian government oppressing citizens of other 'nations' in her country. Be guided.

I think we are still in that age, let's not go back too far. Look at what happened to Nigerians in China. They where oppressed, yeah people shouted, buh they still did and held on to what they did, there's nothing new can do about it.

Let me assist in showing them a perfect map for better understanding. Since they find it hard to believe.

Throwback:
That you do not even understand what it means to be landlocked within the present Nigerian boundary, shows you are an illiterate that needs to be educated.

Is there any Igbo state or Igbo town that borders any neighboring country, thereby part of Nigeria's international boundary? No!

Is there any Igbo state or village that is bound by the sea, thereby exiting as an international delineation? No!

You say your villages exit to a River. Will you sail from that river and continue into Non Igbo territory because the river exits into the sea? What stops the Nupe, Berom, and Igala from sailing the same river from further upland and trying to pass through Biafra and eventually into Non-Igbo territory so as to access the same sea?

You are landlocked because by the time your miniature 5states were to secede from Nigeria, without the alliance of the Ikwere or other non-Igbo tribes that have access to the sea, you will be totally locked within Nigeria just like Lesotho is locked within South Africa.

Look at the map below, and see how trapped you are. I know it feels choking.

Simply put, you will be at the mercy of Nigeria.

I'll like you to focus on what Nigeria stands to lose if she decides to victimise 'citizens of another country' just because they can. China can afford to do that. They have enough clout to blow off UN. Can Nigeria afford to do that?

What are you saying

If Nigeria consider Biafra an enemy and deny them acess to sea there is not the indernational body can do about it.

You still dont get it? In the event of the South East becoming an independent country, the waterways such as Obuaku in Abia state, Oguta in Imo state and indeed the River Niger at Onitsha, which is already an international waterway, will no longer be the exclusive preserve of Nigeria. Should the the SE build a River or Sea port at Obuaku or Oguta, Nigeria cannot prevent the SE from access to Sea via those waterways, not only because Nigeria will no longer be able to claim sole ownership of them, but because UNCLOS mandates Nigeria to allow the SE access to the Sea

If Nigeria then turns around to say it will deny the SE access to the Sea because it considers the the SE to be an enemy state then that is against international law. The only time Nigeria could have gotten away with this is 8f it was actually at war with the SE

An example of this is Ethiopia and Eritrea that fought a bitter civil war for many years. But when Eritreans gained independence, Ethiopia became landlocked because Eritrea owned the shoreline. However, despite being bitter enemies that fought a war, Eritrea had to give Ethiopia access to the Sea because not doing so would have attracted worldwide sanctions from the UN for breaking international law. That would have destroyed Eritreas economy

The same goes for Nigeria. If the SE becomes independent, Nigeria cannot deny the SE access to the Sea. Failure to do so would attract serious sanctions from the international community

Dredging is the removal of sediments and debris from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors, and other water bodies. It is a routine necessity in waterways around the world because sedimentation—the natural process of sand and silt washing downstream—gradually fills channels and harbors.

'Dredging often is focused on maintaining or increasing the depth of navigation channels, anchorages, or berthing areas to ensure the safe passage of boats and ships. Vessels require a certain amount of water in order to float and not touch bottom. This water depth continues to increase over time as larger and larger ships are deployed. Since massive ships carry the bulk of the goods imported into the country, dredging plays a vital role in the nation's economy.'

Be sure of this. The rivers will become international waters. Can Nigeria obstruct passage on International waters? I guess not.

So that we can be very sure of all those who were scammed and those who weren't.

Biafrarep:

You posted two maps yet you couldn't decipher the difference between them. Yes, Lesotho is obviously landlocked as it is completely surrounded by South Africa but can't you see from the map that Igboland has direct access to the sea and only islands exist South of P.H? If Igboland based on the map you posted should be a country, then it will not need any permission from Nigeria be it in terms of airspace or maritime.

Lastly, if you believe that Igbos will leave and others, especially in the SS would want to continue staying with Nigeria, then it shows how shortsighted and naive you are.

FYI, once Igbos leave, the Akwa-Cross will ride on the momentum to either form their own republic or join Biafra, same with Ijaw and others.

There is what is called the Cascade effect but I guess you don't know that.

You have one million and one reasons why Igbos will suffer once they leave Nigeria yet you become scared each time their separatist movement gains momentum. Why are you so concerned about them even when you've shown how much you hate them. If truly you believe in all these lies you guys keep regurgitating, then you would have hastened their departure so they can go and self destruct but you keep threatening and sabotaging their efforts to leave your hopeless country.

WHO IS DECIEVING WHO!?

It's really an irony. Unbelievable.

Be careful what you wish for.
When a small country Eritrea seceded from Ethiopia a bigger country in 1993 and lost access to their coastline, they suffered a lot.
They are trying to reconcile now though

With over 100 million people, Ethiopia is easily the most populous landlocked country on earth. When Eritrea seceded in 1993, Ethiopia lost access to its coastline, impeding its economic growth and limiting the nation’s ambitions of becoming a regional hegemon. No coastline meant no direct access to ports, hindering Ethiopia’s efforts to achieve middle-income status via export-oriented industrialization. Furthermore, strained relations between Addis Ababa and Asmara have forced Ethiopia to rely on neighboring Djibouti for most of its trade. In fact, 95% of Ethiopia’s imports and exports pass through this country of less than one million. Ethiopians are increasingly recognizing the danger of dependence on their small neighbor, especially after Djibouti temporarily refused to release cargo bound for Ethiopia because of delays in payment transfers in 2013.

For this to have been possible means there are no inland waterways leading into Ethiopia after Eritrea broke away.

Why are Yoruba so dumb, jumping on every igbo thread to claim landlocked,if Igbo's get Biafra, the rest will get their republic, the so called south south the north created have a lot of Igbo's in it and allies, i am igbo but our region grouped into so called south south,if a referendum comes I will prefer to join biafra than stay with Nigeria or Benin or people that don't speak my language, even if we get our own republic what makes you cowards think we will be hostile to each other, our seaports are dead,of what use is a sea if we are not making money with it ...our oil is been taken north, why is Lagos port the only one working, bunch of tribal bigot,
Op after the war,Nigeria group out all sea accessed region to south south so the Igbo's won't leave again..

Botswana is landlocked but far ahead of Nigeria in Africa and globally,so been landlocked is not bad,and read up international waterways laws to understand better, the only way to access the sea is through my region, dregding it we need a bit of understanding from us although we are grouped in south south but we are pro-igbo..
A Yoruba don't know the difference between a delta igbo from an igbo man,but we come Here an claim nonsense,if only eastern region will come together and leave this failed nation,so the north will r*pe afonjas to death...the Yoruba's need us south south badly because without us they are powerless against the Igbo's...

Uyo and Calabar are far more Eastern than any South Eastern state in Nigeria or does South East mean something different?
If Lagos is South West and not South South I see no reason why Uyo and Calabar should be South South and not South East.
I'm from Edo, I feel it is only Port Harcourt, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa that qualify as South South

Yorubas. Ijaws. Akwa cross and itskerris are only ones with access to the sea.

All other ethnic groups are landlocked.

Before the British invasion, Edo people used to control the bight of Benin, they lost it when the British Came and the yorubas smartly added it to ondo state.
