People that have sent transcript to mun please what address did you use as recipient details

Please reply urgently needed. Thanks
@Cflow10
It depends on your program sometimes, but it will be available on your program site and around it. You just have to check very well. Most informations about the school/program you might need would probably be there.

Please, if you want to renew your passport, I heard you need NIN(that national ID card) stuff compulsorily. Is this true or any main source of identification like drivers license and all would suffice ?
Need a lowdown from someone that has done this.
Thanks in advance.

Lekiboboe:
Guidelines on How to write an SOP (Statement of Purpose)

Most important thing: Avoid Plagiarism

While writing SOP, the following things to be mentioned which will boost chances of convincing a VISA OFFICER and possibly getting a STUDY VISA APPROVAL:

1. Introduce yourself in first paragraph. Write, what kind of person you are, your interests and personality etc. This may also include one line background of work & study you did earlier. This should be related to the course your are going to pursue.

2. Explain what do you know about the area of study you are applying for.
Like HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, Multimedia, Engineering etc. Market trends, application of knowledge in work, organisations/roles where you can work after studying in this XYZ field and if possible, 1-2 real life example where you experienced this personally (in your current job or someone in family who works in this field etc.)This shows you are well read and know what you are getting yourself into.

3. Now explain Why Canada.
Mention all points Canada is famous for like low crime rate, diversity (which helps in learning), livability and quality of life related statistics etc. Facts & figures help you here. Google a little

4. Why this particular college/Univ. Explain ranking of the same or relevance of course being offered or if someone known is studying there etc. Mention positive points which you can gather from ex-student's testimonials and college website itself. Again, write in your own language and by your own understanding.

5. Why this Program:
Mention why you chose this program. Explain how courses (subjects) of this course will help you in your career, how some of these subjects you have learnt earlier (basic knowledge) and need better and upgraded knowledge about these (especially if applying for PG/masters), explain application of subjects in real job scenario etc.

6. Summarize with reason of coming back to home country: Now summarize all details by mentioning your career goals and what will you do post completing this course.Mention how this course will help you in making your career in your home country. Be passionate about job market of your home country and coming back to your country. Because "You'll not leave Canada" is one of the biggest reason for Student Visa refusal.

7.Travel history
If u av not travelled bfor, state the reason why u av decided to travel at this point of ur life, and how important the program is to ur career & personal development back home

8.Family Ties-Hime ties
U can talk about how children are apparent to family inheritance, and how u are obliged to take care of ur family (parent and siblings). U can attach their birth certificates

Secondly, talk bout Landed Properties (Documents, deed of assignment, Deed of conveyance, survey plans and other important doc.) to of prove ur Hometies

9. Proof of Funds
Mention that you have paid ur tuition fee or made a deposit of ur tuition fee and so so as amount has bin set aside by your sponsor for ur Tution fee (if not yet paid), so so amount for ur One year Living Expenses (might be more than one year) and so so amount for ur flight itinerary

10. Final Note
U can end it like this or in ur own language
Dear Sir/Madam, I hope that you will find all my documents in proper order and I kindly request you to process my visa application as soon as possible. I am very much thankful to you for giving me your valuable time to process my student visa application.

Your Sincerely,
Write ur name and Surname

Happy Writing

You won't be seen as a genuine student given your status and age....

Check saint paul university. They have some programs for people in NGO sectors like their social Innovation M.A

It’s a case by case basis. 3.59 is definitely enough. Had a 3.77 and got admission to the two schools I applied to including MUN. My cousin had a 3.56 and got admission to Ottawa and already had a supervisor in MUN. Moreover mun requirement is 70% whivh is 3.5. Plus I’m still not yet sure but if you pay for a Wes conversion or with most other conversions when going from a 5 point to a 4 point scale, our gpas are always higher than the supposed approximate. So in summary you have more than enough.
Hi Cflow, please have tried getting supervisor from Manitoba and Saskatchewan uni after sending various mails last month but am yet to get a positive response. Two already replied that they can't accommodate more students. Engineering field. Had 4.1cgpa. Last two sessions Cgpa was around 4.7. Any advice please?.

Hello Yinka,

U can't do a Masters with an HND

Ur best options are either u go for a MicrioBiology Related Post Graduate Certificate Program or Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGC/PGD)

Or

Or u go for a PGD in Cyber Security, I.T Business Analysis, or a Telecoms Related field (if available) due to ur 7-years work experience

Possible Document Requirements for Admission to a PGD/PGC program (Most especially colleges in ONTARIO)

*Proof of Citizenship*
- Birth Certificate
- International passport Data Page (Valid one and has not expired, )

*Academic Documents*
-Certificate (Notarized)
- Transcript (Notarized)
Note: Some school ask for Notarized Documents, some don't ask

*Supporting Documents*
Recommendation letter
Letter of Confirmation of English Language proficiency from the school u graduated from (optional)
Cover Letter
Professional Certifications (If any)

Section for
Resume/CV

Yes u will talk about ur Landed properties in ur SOP , that would fall under HOME TIES-Family Ties section of ur SOP..

All those documents of Police character, etc. Will be uploaded in CLIENT INFORMATION and since there is not place to upload each of those documents, U gonna merge it together into one PDF file. use the online tool below to merge ur PDF files...
https://www.ilovepdf.com/merge_pdf

In order to make it cool in terms of arrangement and not in a scattering manner, u can categorise dem in a Table of Content format and arrange dem
e.g

EDUCATION
B.Sc /HND /M.SC Cert.
Transcript
WAEC /Neco result
WEC Cert. (If u av)
Letter of Confirmation of Proficiency in English Language (that's if u can get it from ur school)

Hometies-Family ties
Parents Landed Properties..
U gonna list all docs. U intend to upload
E.g Deed of Assignment
Affidavit of sales and other necessary land doc.
Birth certificate of ur siblings
etc.

Others
Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Police Clearance cert.
and any other supporting documents

Proof of Funds has its own Upload Section
That's u gonna upload ur sponsor docs. (dad, Mum, Bro. Etc..
E.g Tuition fee payment receipt
Sponsorship letter
Affidavit of support etc.

Do all this Categorization arrangement on Microsoft Word, then when u are done, convert it to PDF using the link below
https://www.ilovepdf.com/word_to_pdf

Note: if u eventually merge all the documents together, make sure it is not more than 4MB on the dot (I.e 4.00MB... Cos it won't upload if its more than that. Use the online tool below to compress ur documents if necessary..

You have a very nice profile. But, getting supervisors aren’t easy. Tried to get for
Some schools, gave up and went the course based route. So you can search up how to get a supervisor, follow the steps, package yourself and keep trying. It might just work for you.
All the best bro.

Hi Yang, your question caught my attention and I would like to contribute and motivate you.

You see, getting a supervisor is a very demanding hustle. But in the end, it is always worth it. I was in your shoes of searching for a supervisor, to be honest, I spent more than 6months sending proposals, write up, and all, but no, it didn't work out.

But you know why it didn't work out? Because I haven't find a school that was meant for me. And when I found what is mine, the process was very simple and easy. I exchanged a conversation with the Prof and I sealed his interest the same day. I thought I was dreaming!

My advice for you is simple, keep trying, keep keeping up, be hopeful and trust the process.

Take note of this very vital stuffs when reaching out to your potential supervisor.
No generic emails
Read their interest, read their publications, get some information about their current projects and what their current students are working on.
Look for a supervisor that is currently searching for students, you will find this information on their personal webpage
Try to have customize your first message, very important.
Attach your RESUME and transcript. If you have a very strong background in a course that is related to the supervisors area of interest, mention it, boost about it.
Most importantly, find a supervisor whose interest fits well with yours.
If you have any publications, talk about it, and make sure you have an online directory for your papers..

Good luck.

@Anon123, the OP asked if letter of introduction from employer is important, you said "NO" following your answer to number 1. This information is wrong

@ohizzy, be well informed that letter of introduction is a very important document and should be included in your visa application.

The letter should be in the company's official letter headed paper and should highlight the following -

1. Your job start date,
2. Your job responsibilities and duties with the said company,
3. The number of hours you work per week,
4. Your annual remuneration and benefits,
5. The letter should confirm the fact that you're a bonafide employee of the company and the organisation is aware of your wish to acquire an advanced knowledge in the field of xxxxxx at xxxxxx school in Canada and all necessary assistance should be given to you.
5. The letter should be written by the HR of the organisation and must be duly signed.

Note - With this letter you don't require an employment letter. You can include a study leave letter to further buttress the fact that you would be returning home after studies.

It will end in praise

Hi @Frankrobbn1,

Thanks for your input as well.

But my only issue now is my ex-company already terminated all workers including our so-called HR, which now makes things a little complicated for me.

If I may ask what do you suggest I do?? I can have a one on one convo with her but don't really know how far CAC goes with their verification process.

Please any input would be highly appreciated.

Cheers..
