Amarabae:I have many Ogoni guys that are supporting Biafra big time. Guys doing very well in their endeavour... I asked one day, I thought your people said they don't want Biafra, he told me to forget those people shouting online. That I should go to their village and confirm if they don't really want Biafra. They said South South, and I know many Akwaibom guys that are supporting Biafra big time...they only people that I can say that don't want to have anything are Ikwerre people... |

pazienza:Nwanne, I understand the anger of the Igbos of the SouthEast extraction against the Ikwerres as a result of the unfortunate incidents following the Biafran war but I believe that most Ikwerres especially the younger generation are beginning to question the action of their forefathers. I feel they should be given the opportunity to determine their future, afterall before the war, they were undoubtedly Igbos. Just like the Southern Cameroonians of old and more recently the Chechnyas in Ukraine, they should be given opportunity to determine where they want to be and not outrightly ostracize them because of the decisions of the forefathers. We need to unite as larger Igbo nation to push for our collective interest. We need to heal the wound of old to move forward. Igbo n'asu n'olu n'olu mana Igbo bu ofu! Ya gazie. |

Juliusmalema:Britain left EU and by next year, they will stop enjoying all benefits of being part of European Union. Why is it important that Germany and France ensure that Britain lose all benefits as EU member after Brexit? Because you need to discourage others from leaving by making sure they know that if they left, they would lose all membership benefits. Ikwerre officially left Igbo union in 1970. Yet have been allowed to enjoy perks of being a member. They have their sons holding important positions in the organization even when Rivers state don't contribute any kobo to running of the organization. How else do you want people, including Ikwerre themselves to take the organization serious. This anomaly has been allowed to go on for too long, 50years exactly, and must not continue. Ohanaeze Ndiigbo owe other Igbo clans still in the union the responsibility to: 1. Officially excommunicate Ikwerre and other Bini aligned Igboid groups who have floated independent ethnicity and left the Igbo union long ago, from the union. 2. Expel members from these Bini lands from the Union and offer their positions to representatives from Asa, Ndoki and Egbema in Rivers state. See, you must always reward loyalty and punish disloyalty, that's how you build strong institutions. 3. Release official communique to announce these changes. This is how serious unions act. If Ndiigbo want to be strong again, we must get our acts right. |

Dreambeat:Its not about your belief. Its about reality. I put it to you that younger Ikwerre are more Igbphobic than their parents. Go to Rumu villages in Obio akpor and find out. If you are too busy to visit, you can check out their Facebook pages, young Ikwerre are the majority there, both male and female and they harbour more hate for Ndiigbo than their parents did. Don't take my word for it, just join Ikwerre Facebook page, with your Igbo name, you can easily sneak in. We must learn to separate beliefs and wishes from reality. |

pazienza:Thank you.. Rivers state has never contributed dime to Ohanaeze ndigbo but okwukwu feeds fat from East governor's contribution. Ohanaeze are not serious. Is it the one that one Isiguzoro will be dishing out nonsense as press release. Let them continue to allow those men deceive them. After contributing , he will come and share while his state contributes zero Kobo. Wickedness is real. |

BUT IF ALL YOU SAID ABOVE IS NOT TRUE,THEN I ALSO CALL ON HEAVEN AND EARTH, LET HEAVEN AND EARTH AND THE SPIRITS JUDGE YOU MERCILESSLY AND DEAL WITH YOU SERIOUSLY AND HORRIBLY FOR LYING AGAINST ME ACCUSING ME OF BEING WHAT I AM NOT. oceania100:Yeah there exists very unjustified anti Igbo sentiment all around Nigeria however IPOB is making it worse by making our people seem like land grabbers when we are not. Denouncing IPOB will not solve the problem but it will go a long way to doing so. And what do you mean by Igbo people proving to others that we are not what they think we are? We have nothing to prove to anybody man. We are not the ones massacaring people in their villages neither are we the ones committing high way brigandage. So..... |

pazienza:I agree with you completely. Ikwerres are too small to be contending with the great Igbo race. These confused guys enjoyed the Igbo tag when it suits them and reject it when it does not. This nonsense has been going on for a long time now but it's time to put a stop to it completely. Igbos have little or nothing to gain from Ikwerres but they stand to gain a lot from us. The truth of the matter is that these guys are actually behaving this way because they feel we've got their back. Unknown to many, Ikwerres are riding on the back of Igbos from the SE living in P.H. to win elections as a majority in Rivers State. Going forward, Igbos must do the following to put these Ikwerres where they actually belong I.e. Benin. 1. Every Ikwerre person in Ohanaeze or any other Igbo socio-cultural or market group both within and outside Nigeria should be expelled with immediate effect. 2. Ohanaeze should transfer such posts being held by any Ikwerre person to other Igbo groups that accept their heritage within Rivers State. 3. Igbos living in Rivers State should always support our true brothers in Asa, Ndoni and Egbema among others that accept their Igbo identity in Rivers during elections before the Benin slaves. 4. Ohanaeze should officially write to Ogbakor Ikwerre to stop impersonating Igbos by not using our copyright trademarks such as names, eze/obi title, culture and tradition among others. 5. Igbos should never allow any Ikwerre person to join our groups anywhere in the world. Be it in schools, socio-cultural groups, market associations, Nollywood, corporate organizations etc. 6. Igbos should never celebrate Duncan Mighty or any other Ikwerre musician, actor etc as one of us because they are not one of us. They should go to Ikwerre or better still Benin people to patronize them. 7. Wherever we meet the Ikwerres, whether within or outside Nigeria, we must never identify with them and must warn them never to attach to us. Globally, Igbos are recognized and statistics have endorsed us as high achievers. We have been categorized as among the most advanced races, in a group that includes the Germans, Jews, Chinese, and Indians (the only Blacks to be recognized). Now, does the Hausas even know if there is a group of people known as the Ikwerres talk more of being known in Ghana or worse still globally?? Let's face it, between the great Igbo race and the unknown minute Ikwerres, who should be pleading for the other to accept it? We must chase these guys away from anything that has to do with Igbos and give the priviledges to those that deserve it. These guys can't eat their cake and still have it. We have giving too much attention to these guys already and it is not worth it. |

Ojiofor:He is correct. With uda elu it becomes akwukwo( book). With uda ala it becomes akwukwo (epilepsy). Although it's pronounced like that in some dialects but it's still Igbo language all the same. The beauty of the Igbo language |
