cry. Mhen seeing snake in your house is very scary. I pray never to experience it.

The day I saw snake inside toilet bowl on nairaland (the story of that pregnant woman that died from it), I couldn't sit on mine for days.

Always be carful of toilets. Snakes usually pass through the septic tank (soak away) down the pipes into your toilet and crawl out. I've seen several cases.

Not every snake is harmful. Because you simply can't tell which is doesn't mean it.

Firstly, in most houses, there are alot of rodents and bugs burrowing in and around septic tanks(soak away) .This is what attract the snakes. They pass through a hole around the septic tank to search for food and when they get in, they most times can't find their way back out. While in the soakaway, they then use their Jacobson organ or forked tongue to find a way out and most times it's usually through the pipe and connects your toilet into the soakaway. That's how they find their way into your toilet and straight into your house. There are several cases of people bitten on the ass while taking a poo.

@Op firstly, there are rats in your house, there's a need to rid your house of rats "number 1 thing that attracts snakes". 2. This snake chase a rat into your soak away and couldn't find its way out, so it follow the only place where with its forked tongue sense oxygen, which is your toilet bowl. Many do believe that the water in the closet go all along to the soak away, NO it ends right after the U-bend that's why if you open the chamber at the back you find it dry. 3 get bottles of sniper and empty it into your toilet bowl and flush at least twice to kill other crawling stuffs breeding in your soak away. 4. Your 2 soak away pit are connected together, pls get a plumber to disconnect it, or expect more crawling visitors plus you may find out you spend more treating malaria as you will have mosquitoes and other insects infestation as result of your connected soak away.

Pls can you explain further number 4? What is the connection you are talking about? How is this disconnection done?
