Atiku is just another smart thief. he's saying this not because of patriotism, rather he's doing political promotion of himself ahead of 2023

this people have the privileges to take Nigeria to promise land but they couldn't

they useless Nigeria education to strengthen their private universities and schools

they useless our power sector to import generator to this country and you think is ill and useless advise was base on patriotism. someone like him knows many Nigerians are emotional than reasonable

You are one of the sensible Nigerians on this forum, this is just the basic fact.I laugh at NLders stupidity wen they applaud the likes of Reno and ffk not knowing they are tossing on their emotional feelings for their future ambition. No NLder has asked this same man why he doesn't apply his jumbo economy policy on his private company rather than sack almost 1,000 workers in his private companies. That alone reflect his actions if he is the present president in Nigeria, but Nigerians youth lack ability to think outside the box.

don't mind Atiku. talking as if he's making sense.
who wants to buy all that our old fleet called presidential jet during this covid19. period

sometimes I wonder if he was really a VP at all.
because he should know what a budget means.

comparing our budget to Saudi Arabia is so stupid. even the 30% slash in their budget is twice our own

a budget is like planning for the revenue you hope to generate. most times the budget is just averagely 60% implemented. so even if the national assembly complex is included, it can never be a priority
there are bigger projects like the 2nd nigeria bridge
the railways and co and there's salary to pay.
covid19 to contend with

all the planes put together is so insignificant.
its not even up to abacha loot. can't even finish a single project.
now when this covid19 is all over, government will now make a request for a new presidential fleet.
see corruption

Sorry use your advice and help save your ailing companies that keep sacking workers. PMB has not sack a single Federal Worker despite the challenges. This foolish advice should have been reserved for yourself pre elections when you squandered your resources in the hope that you can sell NNPC and reinvigorate your purse.
As a president of a Federal Republic is he supposed to sack any worker on the basis of low economic valuation? Is he not supposed to create more jobs?

Sure. They will borrow money to do all that until they can borrow no longer. It is only possible cuz they can still borrow money to fund it. By the time forex dries up, and the make the mistake of printing worthless naira to fund their extravagance, then Venezuela loading.

chloedogie:

Two things I tell people.

1. Democracy is extremely expensive.

2. Democracy is a big scam and investment.

What most of us don't know is that any government elected into the office must do the bidding of those that brought her into the system. There were a lot of stakeholders during the general elections and government must please them.

That said. Who will buy the jets? When 95% of all the airplanes in the world are grounded. Boeing and Airbus(two largest airplanes manufacturers) were saying they fear there won't be any order for new planes in the next 3-4 years only spare parts will be ordered for all but no thanks to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

There is no reasonable government that toil or joke with the legislative arm. Even in the western regions they are the real cabals. See what the Bukola Saraki led senate did to Buhari in his first term. We are just deceiving ourselves. Bro, that 27 billion for the renovation will be passed and signed and they will steal 25 billion inside and use the remaining 2 billion for face lift. Our main problem is not Buhari but a lot of termites with him too inclusive.

Politics is sweeter in Nigeria coz they can be easily be fooled.Let him apply his jumbo solutions to his private company rather than sack his workers in different companies, hope u knw Atiku has never denied news where it was reported that he sacked his workers in his three different companies including his private university??

Running a government and running a business for profit are two different things entirely. You don't run both in a similar fashion. Many companies worldwide are also cutting down on the number of staff on their payroll, it's not just Atiku's companies. I can't seem to fathom how an advise to cut down on government expenditure can be tagged "foolish", maybe the adjective bears a different meaning to you.

Would he have brought up this suggestions if he were to be in APC and probably one of the decision makers? Too many questions begging for answers.

I look at comments here bashing Atiku and asking how come he did not do anything during his term. The economy was way better during his term as VP than it is now. They cleared all our debt. I meant all. Let your buhari even try to achieve just that first then we can begin talking. There is no basis for comparison between the two administrations. One worked with best technocrats across board irrespective of ethnicity. One is working with dumbass unqualified individuals whose only criteria is being fulani , that are hellbent on spending 13.5b in a country with all the problems we have on school feeding for children that are at home. With a budget where they will borrow money to renovate national assembly, buy exotic cars for the executive, budget millions for travels in a world that will witness reduced traveling e.t.c . This is the worst government in the history of this country.

You guys should go and read up on Venezuela. I laugh for all you lots and with this budget, its coming sooner than later. U guys should all wait for it.

He is just playing to the gallery. Is he aware that several airlines are going/have gone bankrupt and the major aircraft manufacturers have several unsold planes ? Therefore, just like crude oil, there are several planes that are surplus to requirement in the world aviation market, who will buy the Presidential Planes ?
