No we are still on tramadol level here. For tramadol, you hear things like 50 milligram, 100 milligram. And Nigerians who take tramadol take 2 or more tablets. They can take 200mg of tamadol or more. But the dosage for Fentanyl starts at 0.1mg. A serious overdose of Fentanyl will be just 2 milligram. There are cases of people being rushed to hospitals after taking just 2 milligram of Fentanyl

2mg of Fentanyl can do what 1000mg of tramadol cannot do.

Also, since Fentanyl is for severe pain relief, it instantly blocks the pain receptors of the brain. If you are on Fentanyl and you are involved in an accident, you will not feel anything. You will just bleed to death unknowingly

Bro if your brain has a tendency for addiction it takes a lot of effort to stop, we are wired differently some continue to chase the dragon(chasing the initial high) while some can stop. I am very lucky, I have tried some addictive substances but got hooked to none, infact I hate things that make me high.

It is an unfortunate situation, reminds me of the very sad death of Heath Ledger(that portrayed the joker character) very unfortunate end even after everyone tried to make him to stop drugs including himself trying to stop but all to no avail. Just don’t try it if you have not because you don’t know if you have an addictive brain or not. The mom is not to blame like that, I’m sure she tried her best.

That's why we have special schools, and reformatory institutions, including private boarding houses... No child below 18 should be given that ridiculous amount of liberty!!!..

For Fentanyl to be this potent, that means it's probably prescription only so how did this guy manage to get it? I just wonder. Such a waste of one's life.

Honestly it's so sad seeing youngsters loss their lives to the hands of death because of one addiction or the other.

I was once an addict, my parents made sure they restricted us from mobile phones and some adult movies which are not suitable for kids.

In my home we only watch cartoons but I do have friends who have phones and TVs even some have computers then, I mistakenly saw porn on one of my friends phone asin he as a lot of it. Do you know I started going to his house every day just to watch porn! I still struggle with it at times.

My family Doesn't know about this addiction and I struggle with it to adult age going through emotional trauma, self-hate, you name it but thank God I have gotten hold of myself though the urge comes at times. I tried telling my mom but I felt and know she will be disappointed in me, she's very religious takes me to every church programs, i even followed her to chapel all the time as a kid then.

Parents are not to be blamed in some cases but rather the society. So many people struggle with addiction every day but are scared to seek for help because of condemnation from the people/society they might seek refuge from.

I tell people it better you fight hard not to start what you can't get total control of because if you start quiting is very difficult.

There may be a predilection for drug use but we cannot rule out the fact that unavailability could curtail its predominance.

Anytime i go out and return mumsy go first smell my mouth and body, search my school bag, sometimes comes to my school unannounced and that happened from pry sch till I graduated from the uni..
Till date i have never tasted any alcoholic drink or even try to smoke..
So you see most parents just believe in talking and advices, you think the bible is wrong when it says ‘Spare the rod and spoil the child’..

Drug dealers are very heartless. They can mix anything just to maximise profit; I mean it's all about the Benjamins baby.
I remember when I took one, and thought I was having my normal dosage until...... Thank God I left that life way back.

This drug can be mixed with cocaine and other drugs. It could be he didn't know it was fentanyl. Maybe he was having his normal high and didn't know fentanyl had been added and before he realised he had already OD'ed on it which led to his demise.

Drug dealers can mix and sell you anything so long as it highs just to make that paper. They're heartless.

bro what point are you trying to bring out here...he's talking bout the age he got exposed to hard drugs...age 13 is too young for a child to take marijuana...he should had been reported to the right authories and been monitored..but she kept it and that gave the boy the privilege upgrading to fantanyl...this is failed parenting in the highest order

My brother...I will take it that maybe u don't know things operate in the west..it not poor parenting either..Those kids are just like that...they are so many in the street of Africa growing up without both father&mother figure but turned out to be great..The kids in the west have too many rights..and I think that's were all of this is coming from. I swear it is lack of beating.... At age 13 Drug use He's way too young for it... Well their own life is way different from ours.. Even the ones they beat in Nigeria too can do drugs.... I think it all comes down to the choice(s) a child make....

He should have been taken to rehab not reported to authorities. How do you know he was not taken to rehab sef? Many addicts are taken to rehab but still relapse, addiction is very hard to control even for a parent.
