shocked Mudashiru Obasa have finished Lagos.Just imagine all these exposures in recent times about this man but no word/action from the relevant agencies, Lagos state HOA or Government? Are they in support or why the scrupulous silence? Imagine if it were the ordinary Nigerian.

All of them fly on same feather. From Obasa to Yayi to Osinowo to Amosun to Desmond Elliot to Gbenga Ashafa to Akpabio ,in fact all nigerian politicians are crooks, corrupt and wicked. They belong to the same fraternity regardless of partisan political membership.

I see things like this everytime I’m auditing the records of federal MDAs. It is just so shameful and embarrassing.

Going forward, we really need to redefine the approval process of public funds. The current system gives accounting officers and political heads of MDAs absolute powers to expend public funds without any serious mechanism put in place for accountability.

You can’t give someone power to approve public funds without restrain and think he’s going to be responsible with such powers. We need more stringent checks and balances in place to curb corrupt and frivolous expenditure like this.
please can you help a man get a job

He can't of course,he was employed by them. Imagine an active civil servant being overtly political. He will see evil and hear no evil because it is APC in govt.

In addition, have you done the whistle blowing job or you're afraid of the whistle blower policy & corruption ongoing under this government? Buzz the EFCC, ICPC man.

Look at his ugly face.

With that face of his he can only get a woman by doling out public funds.

Never liked Obasa. That man comes across as another typical proud and show-off Nigerian politician, who's 'average upstairs' and is lacking in real inner resources.

He ain't ugly though. grin

An auditor is not a whistle blower. At my level, I can only record my findings and make recommendations to my supervisor and the public accounts committee of the National Assembly (if it will go that far).

My office doesn’t report to the EFCC or ICPC. We can collaborate if need be but we don’t share audit report with them except a special request is made.
LoL.

It's very easy to criticize government, until we are in a position to do something and we find a way of creating excuses.

Oga, even a janitor can whistle blow.

Stop creating excuses for your inability to do what's right.

So what sort of stringent checks do you think will solve this ? My experience in Nigeria shows that for every layer of checks you add you only create a new level of corruption ..I am sure as an auditor in Nigeria you have come across many bribes
