jesmond3945: When some is appointed as a university lecturer, a salary package is offered. If the salary is not attractive, he or she has the right to reject the offer and walk away. You cannot accept what was offered to you and turn around to blackmail government in the way and manner you are presenting your argument. 4 Likes |

What's wrong with you mumu? You just from one foolish arguement to the other. It is easy if your tough like Ronald Reagan. Insubordination is a fireable offense. You pretending there's no qualified replacements in the workforce is laughable. If they're in such demand they can go thrive in the private sector. jmaine: 1 Like 1 Share |

Blue3k: You are the inconsistent turd, it's obvious you can't defend your one dimensional output... You can't sack them... I am sure that is a painful reality for you to live with... Eyah! Pele..... We have a stretched tertiary education system, and a nonentity somewhere feels sacking is a reasonable thing to do.. No wonder we have a certificateless merchant leading a learned generation... 1 Like |

seunmsg:I mean a prof who has been earning 600k since 2000 will now earn 350k in 2020? How does that sound? |
Re: IPPIS: Joe Abah On "How Ghost Workers Exist In Public Institutions" by Blue3k(m): 3:41pm On May 19, 2020 |
Mumu dont cry now. If they dont want to comply with legal lawful directives they're free to go. There's nothing unreasonable about sacking insubordinate employees. Lol where in the labor laws does it say they're exempt from IPPIS or can't be fired for insubordination. [s] jmaine:[/s] 1 Like 1 Share |

sonofthunder: Yes sir. I mean the lecturers are kinda shady as well but why are they talking about them alone? Why not the lawmakers & their excesses? |

jmaine: Read my previous interactions with that handle so as to understand the context of the post you quoted. ASUU can also fight for a better salary structure just like NLC. In fact, that is what they have been doing since the union was created. Asking for better pay has nothing to do with IPPIS. If FG agrees to pay graduate assistant N1m monthly, IPPIS will definitely pay without any issues. 2 Likes 3 Shares |

jesmond3945:Bro, Beside this monthly take come of 350k, there is seperate money supervision per no of student (allowance)which varies from degree (UG, Masters and Phd) and normally pay at the end of each supervision. There's also Earning allowance for Teaching & Marking per number of course. supervision and research goes mostly goes together in addition to various research grants in different fields. 1 Like 1 Share |

Lol mumu I know it's your culture to be foolish but you have all the time. The FG can but chooses not to. After being having all your stupid arguments debunked all you can do is cry now. I'll do as please as usual thanks. You do the same mumu. jmaine: |

Nwanyiogwashi:its not as easy as it sounds you can't just replace a sacked prof with a sound graduate as you put it, academics is a totally different ball game, besides you stand the risk of having your courses discredited until you have the minimal requirement to run a course. |

Most responses to this article just show how unbalanced Nigerians can be in their analysis. The academic institutions is the worst place to be for a thriving brain that wants to make money too. Very poor pay with accompanying public insults for delivering your goodwill and honest service to develop the citizens. Business or politics is the way forward. How many 1st class students still accept offers to teach after graduation? Those inside know better |
Re: IPPIS: Joe Abah On "How Ghost Workers Exist In Public Institutions" by zikter(m): 4:49pm On May 19, 2020 |
Blue3k:you are quite funny. Just wait for schools to reopen and see who will teach the students. Not like it is a good thing, but the government's policies on education are generally too poor. By the way, try keeping yourself up to date with information. I don't like giving information here as you would want simply because you can look it up yourself. It discourages mental laziness. Again, for your information, ASUU grouse with the government is not even on IPPIS, this is just a side distraction. There are key agreements they signed which government has not fulfilled. Government is just grand standing on all these things. No ASUU members will be sacked, they will not enroll on IPPIS, and no school will resume until all the issues are sorted. If you think government can wake up and sack any of them, think again. ASUU is not like any other union. Ask OBJ and the rest, they did more than this but it didn't result to anything. |

Nwanyiogwashi:Can you listen to yourself? How many PhD holders are without jobs to talk of replacement? Are you aware that most univervisities are understaffed especially from lecturers with PhDs, hence the visiting lecturer phenomenon? Are you aware that it is not ASUU that does/will do the capturing of it members? Are you even aware of the perculiariaties of ASUU that they are fighting for? It is just unfortunate how a lot of people like you just jump to unfounded conclusions. It's really disgusting! No wonder politicians have a feel day flipping us every four years because we don't think independently. |

mamaafrik:.. Prof Otunta Even senate set up a committee for that during the time and the committee asked him to reinstate everyone and pay the salaries but he refused. . He has been under probe since then but nothing is coming out because he has the backing of ASUU..in fact he has employed more people than he sacked |

Rutherford2019:Bros, how is that possible when MOUAU staff (striking staff) are yet to receive their salary. Pls brief me. I was affected too but lucky enough I was reinstated. However, my sister in-law wasn't that lucky. |
Re: IPPIS: Joe Abah On "How Ghost Workers Exist In Public Institutions" by zikter(m): 6:01pm On May 19, 2020 |
Blue3k:Well, I showed you where to look for proof. I wonder why the tough leaders did not sack them as you clamour. May be they are all dumb or smarter than what you think. But as all of them did not take the sack option, it means they know what you don't know and see what you don't see. It is as simple as that. |
