You're on point bro.
Thanks

OakPearl:

With a mid -long term investment horizon, BABA is a sure bet even at today's price.
All that is required u patience to sit out the up and down waves of the moment.

I noticed that I couldn't fund my account yet on Chaka. The 1-3 business days is ending tomorrow. Does it take ages for it to be verified?

I use bamboo and it take about 20hrs for the funds I transferred to their account to be processed

Looking at the Chaka snap shot I uploaded, it's showing final step for document verification. I noticed the message popped up when I attempted to make a transfer from my account. Even at that, I don't know why it has taken them so long to make their verification since I already completed the registration process since on the 12th May. Anyway, I just emailed the support to find out what's happening. Hopefully, I will hear from them today depending on how quick they are responding to complaint.

I don't have bamboo. I only have Trove, Etoro and Chaka. I am trying to see the platform with the least charges. What percentage do you pay when purchasing and selling of stocks using bamboo?

@ oakpearl, any picks?

For airlines, I am already in DAL and have my eyes on LUV, UAL, and AAL.
As more US states begin to ease lock down measures, these well beaten stocks will begin to respond.

An expert analyst said sometime ago that due to the downturn in the airline business occasioned by the covid-19 pandemic, at least one US airline will go under by September this year.

What I am sure of is, that airline will not be DAL for very concrete structural reasons due to the fundamental and government backing of the business.

I really want to commend OakPearl, Yeryer and the rest for the great work here. You guys are really amazing! I have been reading up the thread for a while now. I have downloaded Chaka and Trove application and want to start trading.
First in all, I will like to find of if Chaka charges $1 for buying and selling of stocks only.
Secondly, can anyone recommend the stock I can buy into with a minimal amount for short term as I intend funding it now through bank transfer. Though I am looking at ACB, NIO, NEPT and GRWG.
Gurus in the house your response will really be appreciated.

ACB is a gamble at the moment.
It is responding to the natural fall of gravity after a supersonic rise.
Beware of catching a falling knife!

If your capital is small, best bet will be a penny stock and a good dose of patience as you invest.
NIO as you mentioned is a good idea.
Happy investing.

I am suspecting AAL but with Powell's and Munchin stimulus package on the way, I doubt if any will go under.

Talking about airlines, there is a Brazilian airline that holds plenty of promise in capital appreciation:
AZUL.
It closed at $7 yesterday.

Phunware was good today. Went up 324% and then droped to about 200% but all in all, was still very good business.

I just got this alert:

"Senate may vote on bill that could delist Chinese companies from U.S. stock exchanges".

Some Chinese coys in NYSE are already reacting to this news.

I had to quickly close my position on BABA
Earlier today it was 2% up but currently -1.5%

This is BIDU it was 2.5% up today but currently shedding -2.8%.

Caveat: DD applies please.

The bill has been passed.
My concern is, what does this means for US companies that are expose to Chinese market? Example: Apple and Tesla

To start with, most of the stocks in my portfolio are for a long term holding period regardless of daily price movements in the market. I bought most in March and they are way in the green zone, three actually did 100%+ but sold two while I still hang on to CCL!

If you have a mid/long term horizon, I would say buy GROUPON(GRPN). Though I'm already up 50%, there is still a lot of upsides. Why? Strong balance sheet! $750 million in cash against $370 million non-current liabilities!! There are only a few penny stocks out there with such figures.

If you feel US schools might not resume face-to-face teaching anytime soon, then you might want to look at Zovio Inc (ZVO). I don't own this yet, I'm studying the price movement closely. My reason? Wonderful balance sheet. 93% of the market value backed by cash! That's what I'm talking about, baby!! cheesy

Finally, if you believe 5G will change the way data is produced, used and stored in the nearest future, then you might want to consider Quantum Corporation (QMCO). I don't own this at the moment but watching on Plasma TV grin

NB: No matter how great a business is, your entry price is very essential. Don't F.O.M.O(Fear Of Missing Out)! Build your cash chest and strike when the opportunity presents itself. Additionally, make sure the cash is available in your trading account while you wait for the time to take action.

Bamboo invited me to Join their Gold membership which comes with some good perks, like discounts of 1% on all tradings and less time to fund your account. I think the criteria might be 10k and above deposit or so.
