Help! My Sister Is Seeing Her Period The Second Time This Month

Please Doctors in the house, my younger sister is seeing her period for the second time just this May.

She confided in me so I promised to ask questions.

She's 21 years of age.

She saw her period on the 4th of this May and today being 20th, she's seeing it again.

Although before she saw her first period, she was recovering from Malaria and that means she was on drugs.

Please this is a serious issue and it's giving me concern.

She has been staying with me in my house since the lockdown started and I can verge for her.

Please your kind advice is needed.

There is nothing wrong with her. It happens to me too. If i see my period at the beginning of a month i.e 1-4 , i will definitely see it at the end of that month. It will normalize the next month, don't worry.

She should watch it again next month. If it repeats then she should see a doctor.
However from my experience with women once a regular menstrual cycle disrupts to get it back to a regular timing like it was before is hard. It might come back to a particular rhythm but not as it was before the disruption.

Yours is a different case. You have a short menstrual cycle.
What the op said is in interval of 16 days between periods. It's certainly unusual.

I don't have a short cycle. Believe me, it is normal. It will normalize next month. She will see her period towards the end of the next month. Just watch.

I have experienced it once,
Tho that was as a result of d ugu leaves I ate at my big sis house almost daily cos she was using it as someone told her it increases blood in the body.
It came 14 days interval, but d following month it became normal again cos I had left her house.

So just watch d next month and check. Then know that:
1. The period of ladies varies some it's 27 days cycle , sum 28,29 and even more.....
2. It even varies month to month so don't go and say it was 30 days cycle last month y Is it 28 this month.

Gbam! ... especially first point.

It might be due to change of environment, stress,use of certain drugs..nothing to worry about but if it continues, she should see a gynaecologist

So Ur 21 yrs old sis isn't a virgin and u can say it online... Am sure she must have started avin sex at 15 or so. Only God know how many body counts she had from 15 to 20 bcoz at 21, u said she wasn't sexually active for like a year....

Doctors... After attending to the OP, here is another person who needs your help.

It happens once in a while due to hormonal imbalance or prolly she took a morning after pill...

Period can come twice in a month... It has happened to me multiple times..... If it should cone twice in a month for me... It's gonna come again at the end of the following month...
