NinjaMetahuman:very good response my brother. Just like the way solar energy business is booming in Nigeria, is there a way to make small ISP business to flourish? This is because internet services is big problem in Nigeria just like energy. |

If you live anywhere within Ogun state. Try I-World networks. Unlimited is achievable at a very decent price |

Am glad that people are beginning to realise how serious this issue is, I created a thread earlier about this Why should data be capped? Unlimited is not unlimited and it's so annoying as a student I would have to wait till in the night before i can access the internet to get stuff done and it's really affecting me badly. If MTN Glo Etisalat or Airtel could give us true unlimited I would be happy but they don't want to do it and I don't know why which is giving way for this smaller company to cheat us.....I swear am fed up who I offend way them born me for this country? Even 60gb of data wouldn't be enough for a week, it would get exhausted because of the nature of the kind of stuff I do makes one less productive. We keep spending money on data everyday, this is day light robbery! Cc:lalasticlala 1 Like |

Bottom line, NCC has to be more involved, anyway, I have tagged them on this write-up on Twitter. It might not make any difference but if we all take turns at throwing jabs at them maybe one-day they will want to do eye-service as most of their manner is in this country with the top organizations trying to save face. I could only tag a few of the ISPs can I have any more of their Twitter handles please. |

Yes, this is a serious issue in Nigeria, and it's holding the country back. As someone who is in IT and primarily works remotely, I have tried it a couple of times when I visit Naija, and it was not the best experience. I am usually there for 2 weeks so I just buy so much data on my MTN/GLO lines, and using 4G/LTE btw. I have to join meetings in the US via webex on some days and it's usually a pain. I try not to do work related stuff that's data intensive due to the lag associated to mobile connection. Majority of the people still access the internet via data on their mobile phones, and there are no hard-wired connections, so Work from Home (WFH) options are very limited. On the entertainment side it's the same issue. Watching Netflix/YoutubeTV on your TV there is just painful! Here all the rooms are hard-wired cat5, so we just plug it into the TV or just go wirelsss if hard-wired is not possible. All these problems are really hampering Nigeria's development. Deicide: |

I prefer to use airtel and be subscribing weekly than use spectranet and other ISP’s. Airtel is over fast, be it on 3G or 4G. I get value for the money being spent. I imagine myself using spectranet, i would have reached 100GB in 1 to 3 days and start complaining of speed. 2 Likes |
