I downloaded the one on compilation thread

The camera is not working in portrait photography and the video is not working....

Video is normal, you probably didn't apply a config file for the portrait to work.

You can try the ones you quoted

Which of the config works or am to use the three?

I clearly stated you should alternate between the three. The one that has night in it name should be best for night sight. But test and settle for your best. I don't yes a RN8 Pro to say this is the best. But from comments the multiverse of colors is best for normal shots not sure of night sight though

with samsung's new partnership with AMD, the game would be changing soon. Heard they released a chip 3% faster than sd865. And are hoping to gain grounds in the SoC market. Someone needs to end this useless monopoly

Don't blame Qualcomm, they are just enjoying the ride. The blame should rest squarely on Mediatek and the other SoC manufacturers. In the desktop PC space AMD spent approximately ten (10) years in the wilderness of obscurity and lack of competitiveness before they could make a breakthrough. Right now AMD are giving Intel some seriously stiff competition, even to the point of undercutting many of Intel's hitherto untouchable offerings. And guess who is benefitting? The end user, Intel can no longer price their products as they used to.
It is left to Mediatek (and the others) to give Qualcomm the AMD shock treatment.

lol. At this point, this is just an attempt at a Strawman argument.

Kindly quote my post where I said or implied ROMs don't affect performance.

Does 'boosting/reducing performance' mean the same thing to you as 'determining if your phone is powerful or not'? What's even the relationship? How's your argument even making sense to you?

Yes. One typical example.

Snapdragon 650 supporrted QC 2.0. but due to licensing costs, Xiaomi only enabled QC 1.0. however, folks were able to unlock bootloader and flash CyanogenMod™ to get the QC 2.0.

So you see, flashing custom rom helped them to determine if their phone was powerful or not

crap. Anyone with internet access can pretty much see what their phone's SoC is capable of, from detailed specifications. Those who cook custom ROM can do so because they ALREADY KNOW the hardware has the capability to support a desired functionality.

Custom ROM doesn't not help you find out anything you cannot find out without it, unless of course you don't bother finding out stuff. You won't ever DISCOVER that your midrange device is actually a high-end device because you flashed custom ROM. Custom ROMS do not determine how powerful your device/chipset is, much less being 'the way to truly find out' as the other dude claimed.

You don't need to flash custom ROM into the Samsung Galaxy S20 to know that it's faaaaaaaar better than the Infinix Note 7.

Hello
My sister just got a xiaomi note 8 pro but the battery has been draining ever since. We used up about 4% just to set up the phone alone. We spent 3hrs on the phone with just browsing and downloading system update and now the phone has gotten to 89%. Is this normal for a 4500mah battery?

Please, in the name of all that's holy and good, steer well clear of any tablet with a Helio X series SoC (X20, X23, X27, etc). They have good benchmark scores but they perform terribly in real life usage scenarios.
Teclast have decent build quality compared to a brand like Chuwi, but make sure you research forums well before you commit. I believe the Teclast T30 powered by the Helio P70 is a decent option compared to their M series tablets.

No be lie. I'm with a Teclast M30 tablet. Build is awesome and strong. But you see ehn, the chipset in it will frustrate someone's life.

Perfectly normal. Give it 2-3days for the system to stabilise.

I can vouche for redmi note 3pro because I used it. It was A very well documented issue then. Infact, that was what brought my attention to tweaking of phones.

Xiaomi had a choice of keeping the cost down or paying extra bucks for QC. They choice the former and it paid off.

It was on Qualcomm website. But it wasn't working on the phone, and no official comment by Xiaomi during and after the phone launch. Remember this was a phone that broke the Indian market.

Some Indians on gsmarena even said Xiaomi lied about the processor just to gain market in India.

ok, but that doesn't answer the question. Did it take a custom ROM before ANYONE knew that QC 2.0 was possible? Recall the bone of contention here...

Let's all flash Custom ROMs so we can REALLY KNOW if our phones are truly as powerful/weak as we think.

3 hours of setup and you lost 4%? That's more than impressive battery life, considering most of it is SOT.

the Dimensity 820 performance is also only surpassed by 855, 855+ and 865 in the SD lineup, according to Antutu.

Remains to be seen what it can truly do in a device though. Let's hope they aren't cheating again.
and also surpassed by dimensity 1000 that iqoo used in one 300dollar phone and hopefully will be used by redmi note 10 pro.

When you see your guy with a shaving stick, you don't go about asking him why he's holding a shaving stick. But when you see your 8 year old son with a shaving stick, a responsible father should demand answers.

Apply the same logic to chipsets.

You don't go about asking if a flagship chipset supports quick charge, you don't even bother to check specs if it supports it and Snapdragon does not even use it as it's selling point because by default it should.

But when you use quick charge as a selling point for a midrange SoC and at the end the phone ends up only fast charging, people will ask questions and seek for solutions.

That was the story of Redmi note 3 and SD 650

This, I am quite excited to see. If it's actually real world performance, then Qualcomm will have to eat it's heart out and make their premium midrange SoCs like the 765, 765G, 768G, etc cheaper.

They are enjoying too much of a monopoly right now because Mediatek hasn't really competed with them in the past. It's a whole new ball game now and we may have the Intel Vs AMD situation.

Unverified source claims the SD865 SoC costs $180.
Qualcomm won't change anything unless more phone manufacturers start using mtk products.its kind of like the amd/intel situation on laptops.even though amd's ryzen 4000 series are just better in almost every way and also more power efficient (7nm vs intel's 14nm) most laptops devs are still using intel in their flagship series and limiting amd to their midrange n budget lineup.Hopefully the change for Qualcomm will start with the intro of samsung and amds soc(if these one's don't get greedy themeselves) because Qualcomm basically ruined smartphone pricing this year with their overpriced soc forcing phone manufacturers to pay for 5g modems whether they need them or not.

I don agree na. Let all those who use the Redmi Note 8 (for example) flash custom ROM to find out if their device is truly more powerful than the Redmi 8 or 8a. Custom ROM is the one true benchmark for phone/SoC performance. lipsrsealed

this emboldened text pretty much means no iPhone is powerful (since you can't do custom roms), despite the fact that their flagship A13 Bionic chipset is one of the best mobile SoCs currently in existence.

Flashing new ROM would determine if a phone is powerful? Really?
