Young Northerner looking for unskilled labour have been going to the south for over 100 years now. Same as southern artisans, traders , skilled and semi skilled workers from the south going to the North to earn a living.
The lockdown brought out this movement more clearly. These migratory workers have always moved in lorries and trucks just as huge numbers of Igbos move to the north in night buses.

Almajiris are younger and they are a Northern problem , they have nothing to do in the south.
