I've got 7 sales so I could so far it's encouraging tho... please I need your expertise and advice anytime... and for this erotica you talking about, I want to assume is non-fiction?

Erotica is fiction.

@kay29000 I believe erotica has the strongest demand in the fiction niche in and outside Amazon. But other book promotion requirements must be met.
Your language and style will determine your audience. If your language is geared towards the Nigerian market it obviously will not attract much sales on Amazon.
Your coverart, and grammar editing must be top notch. That said, erotica has a strong appeal. I have a wip (work in progress) which draws lots of views when I drop the mockup with coming soon tag on Facebook page. My other books never received that much views like this Erotica novel. Two months now I have been too lazy finishing one of the chapters.

Nope. It is fiction...basically stories that have sex scenes in them.

If anyone is ready to read through, do everything MK82 says, focus, and work hard, they will make money. I'm a fiction writer (I have been writing fiction since before Nairaland was created), so that's why I write fiction, cos my spirit won't allow me not write fiction It is hard to explain. But i always advise people to stick to non fiction. Do your research in non-fiction and stick to that. In March, I wrote a non fiction book on how to boost immune system against corona virus...and with no promo of any sorts, it started selling immediately. In three days, it sold 7 copies. And then Amazon took it down, but didn't state a specific reason for doing so. Anyway, I advise people to stick to non fiction as it is easier to break in and make money. Just do your research well.

Amazon took it down because it had Corona virus in the title. They don't want any book on Corona virus to "mislead" people.

That's what I thought too. But I wonder why they allowed it to be published in the first place. Anyway, I thank them for the small money I made before they took it down. I already used it to buy food stuff yesterday

Initially, they were allowing people publish books with the Corona virus keyword. But then, some people started abusing it and dishing out misinformation. Some were claiming they had cures. So, Amazon had no other option than to ban the keyword entirely.

Do you have other books that are selling?

Sales have been very slow for me, especially paperback during this pandemic.

Okay. Now I understand. People always abuse such prevelages.

About sales, yeah, sales have been slow. I just get a couple of reads here and there. As I said earlier, I write mostly fiction. I get a couple of reads (not sales) every now and then, but generally, it has been low sales for some months now.

I really do not understand why they took off that topic of yours.... though I was told that Amazon never allows write-ups on Corona virus...
