I saw LIB a week after it's release at the cinema. It's one of the few movies I can confidently say I enjoyed my money while viewing

King Of Boyz 6.5/10

Living in Bondage 8/10. the cinematography is just too wow for a nollywood movie

Lol so the movie finally left the cinema cheesy
I was sceptical about paying to see a Nollywood movie, but this one was worth the money.
No much screentime wasted. Refreshing show of wealth (tired of those poverty set Nollywood movies abeg).

The way some people overrated the horror thing Is hilarious. There is almost nothing horrific about the movie, you can tell people who haven't seen actual horror movies, by the way they hype the horror in theeeis movie. Even older Nigerian movies like Mark of the Devil and Rapture, fill me with more horror than this one.

I am still watching Muna, I stopped it at a point because they were playing some annoying soundtrack that basically tells the story of the whole movie, and it rubbed me off the wrong way, but the start is quite decent. The child actress was good.

Ok so I just finished LIB & I would state it was fair for me. A 7/10 just like the OP stated.
I was particularly impressed with Shawn Faqua flow of Igbo words which was far better than Ramsey's & I expected more Igbo conversations between Nnamdi & Kelly(after the realization of both been Igbos) to Nnamdi & Toby.

Yea I noticed the green screen effect on Richard's seat view(some holly movies do that too tongue)
Swanky J did a dope job for a debutant to be honest. I also loved the display of exotic cars.

Who noticed the apartment of Nnamdi looks very much like the one used by Kiss Daniel in the music video of One Ticket? grin

....& his Nnamdi completely free from the brotherhood despite daring to pay with his life?

God calling is still the best Nigerian movie I watched this year. I stand to be corrected. Love is war was dope too.

Muna is a sham for me. The fake display of bullets & amateur gun battle was just off with the kindergarten soundtrack accompanying it was too much to take in. Deleted it ASAP. The start was the only fair thing.
A 4/10 I would rate.

living in bondage was so good for me, saw it in the cinema and I felt fulfilled..... I also saw kings of boys in the cinema and I wasn't that impressed..... I will rate LIB 8/10 it was just too top notch for a Nigerian movie.... the opening scene alone was Hollywood standard..

if Ramsey directs nneka the pretty serpent remake, I will definitely see that too.... in the cinema of course

The movie was amazing amazing! It easily stands out as my best nollywood movie ever. Cant remember when last I watched a Nigerian movie and was impressed; the picture quality, the video transitions, the sound effects and soundtracks. I also loved the way the story perfectly picked up from the old story as a seamless sequel. I enjoyed it so much that I watched it twice! Nothing could be weirder than that.

I agree with the Ramsey Nouah Igbo flaw though, he could have practiced those lines better. Only character I didnt like was the Uzoma dude, he felt too non-nigerian, too misplaced and too fake in my opinion.

I think Ratnik has been nominated before, it might not be nominated again next year, but of course, I expect a competitive lineup. These guys that did Living In Bondage are set to release a remake of Nneka The Pretty Serpent in November, and it will be directed by Ramsey once again, so, that's one thing.

I pray Kemi doesn't become a victim of her own brilliance, because the thing with second parts of most movies, is that they hardly live up to the legacy of the first part, and since everyone rates KOB so highly, a lackluster second part could be damaging.

Ok....if it's not your genre, you shouldn't bother watching, to be honest. I watch everything, as long as it's Nigerian, then, determine how good it is after seeing it.

I've watched KOB twice, not a fan.
Its obvious, we understand your sentiments

LIB is an occult movie.. Why act a movie on a bad culture that we are trying to make people abandon..

That movie is clearly a trash.... Film that glorify satan n kingdom of darkness.

Encouraging evil and ritual.

So if a movie is made about a group of robbers terrorising a city, it automatically means the movie is promoting armed robbery? What brand of hypocritical reasoning is this? Wonders shall never end!

Is our Nigerian and African society not awash with ritual killings all over the place?

Saw the movie 3AM yesterday.
The storyline was just there.
While the cinematography was impressive.
TBH Living in bondage does cut it but still so far the best original work done this century is King of Boys.
It's a work of creativity and deep imagination.

Living in bondage is a sequel to the first movie.
It was good, also the movie is zero horror for me.
I don't get why people were shouting it's horror.
I love the fact that Ramsey paid attention to details, the scene in the Church impressed me the most when they initiated the cross of the devil.

I'll love to see an original work from Ramsey Nouah not this rebooting of movies and sequels to old movies.
Heard he's making another reboot to another old film.
Man leave reboots alone, reboots never beats original.
Even Hollywood fans will tell you

Safarigirl, Shawn Faqua is Igbo now, so he should speak better Igbo than Ramsey Noauh ideally

I also thin the original was in two parts 1 and 2.

Nice analysis
