Sis, Nigeria will never be ready. Look at what Nigerians have done to his country? Coup after Coup after independence, dictatorship after dictatorship and looting galore. Then a sham of a democracy in 1999 till date with a free for all looting galore and loan shopping spree. These loans will have to be replayed back by Nigerians, it is the average Nigerians that will suffer austerity.

There is no thought to investing in infrastructure, public services, health care, schools, universities, roads, security, electricity/water companies etc. There is no plan for the development of Nigeria.

Under Nigerian watch, Nigeria is regressing back to the dark medieval ages.

There was an election last year, Nigerians had a chance to change this failure of a Government but they voted them back with a large majority because of 5000 naira and bags or rice.

I don't know the answer sis. All I know from my parents and grandparents is that Nigeria pre-1960 is better than Nigeria in 2020. By the way Nigeria is colonized by the few elite fossils who have one way or the other being in power since 1960. Nigeria has never been a free country.

Well this generation of Nigerian youth might be considered the least privileged in our history as a nation. Back in the 80's, 90's and early 2000, it was quite easy to find a well or averagely paying Job immediately after Uni or after learning a trade. it was easier for a young man to find stable grounds to support a family. Now it's all different! millions of unemployed or underemployed graduates roam the streets. The only way out is to migrate, become an entrepreneur (which I think is becoming saturated) or pick up new skills. Now to make this switches require time, patience and resilience, marriage comes into the picture quite later. Do the math and your legible bachelor is well above 35.

"Me myself and I" type mentality is the foundation for a backward and poor society

No society advances with majority of the population as hustlers cause if things were in order there would be no need for hustling
U don't hustle for what belongs to u when it is already in your hand

A couple of Dangotes, political criminals and Religious fraudsters wouldn't change the fact the Nigeria and other African countries are still poor

A society is judged by the collective, not the individual

And until the collective situation is addressed the average person (emphasis on "average person" ) would still suffer the consequences of a backward and poor society
