I only know kenke, heard of banku, never donkunu. Have you eaten all of them?

Dokunu not Dokunu lol. It's the other name for kenkey. Same as Kenkey.

Banku is different, made from a mixture of cassave and corn dough.

Nice, I LOVE afang!!!

Now let me ask the house a question.

Is it true that no one can cook a native dish like its indigenes?

(e.g)No outsider can cook afang better than Efiks/Ibibios?

You can’t make ewa agoyin, better than togolese?

Etc...

Not in all cases.

The problem is when you try to cook another tribe's soup with your own tribe's method. Imagine someone put iru in afang. I was shocked.

When I want to cook a dish from another tribe, I asked someone from there up to the minutest details.

Not true jor. Cooking is a skill that can be learnt/ acquired. Once u learn and master how to Cook the particular native food, even the indigenes will commend u.

So far there's no secret ingredient u are not aware of, then it should go well. Some of the amala + ewedu and gbegiri served at parties are Cooked by Togolese ( agonyin) who are hired as olopo ( cook). That is not their native dish yet they prepare it better than some people who sell it in buka

I quite agree with you. Once you master it with the right ingredients, you're good to go

Just so you and other non Deltans know, you can't cook Banga soup better than me o cheesy. I no Sabi cook soup but that Banga soup ehn....leave am for me o grin

How do you scoop it in to get perfect Akara balls like this? Mine looks deformed some how cry
Just fetch small in a place and stir very well or pour in a small mortar then stir very well (until it becomes fluffy)before you put it in fire

Your babe likes food cheesy. My husband loves that pasta. In fact because of him, I know practically all the variants or types of pasta. He's the real chef. Me, I am sha behind him in that area.

Followed the recipe to the letter except the glazed part then baked some instead of frying all.

Lol. Who did that? Definitely Ibkayee’s sister. grin

I think that is what makes the difference; the ingredients. Just like oha/okazi never feels original to me if it Is prepared with palm oil, rather than palm fruits. cheesy
